Aisiweier Soprano Saxophone SAX Bb Brass Lacquered Gold Body and Keys Woodwind instruments β¦ Review: Very well made sounds very very good! - This is on first use an excellent soprano saxophone. It rivals higher end instruments costing $2,000 and up. It is made of heavy brass and of note the action parts are well made and there is no sloppiness to any of it. The rods are 100% solid with zero play which is so typical of budget soprano saxes I've tried before (in particular Slade brand). This sax sounds very very good. (I am using a professional mouthpiece that is worth more than the saxophone) The intonation is very good. Honestly it's hard to believe this quality for the price, I fully expected much less so I am very pleased that now I have a solid soprano to practice on and play! If you are looking to double or to just try out a soprano this one is IMO a great choice. Even the case is decent and well made. The way the packed it was 100% professional and the "corking" done for shipping security was 100% pro. PLEASE NOTE one reviewer said "some keys are stuck down when they should be up" well the sax like all saxes when properly shipped will have the "up keys" corked DOWN on purpose. On mine there were two large spongy gray corks that need to be removed and then 5-6 TINY RED plastic wedges that are keeping the up keys down you MUST remove these (carefully) before those keys will move. I suspect that reviewer just tried to play the sax without knowing the keys are "corked" down. Yes when it comes out of the box NO KEYS WILL MOVE! That's intentional to protect from shipping damage. Review: Good instrument for the money - I have played saxophone for many years. I haven't owned one of these less expensive horns before, but I wanted a soprano and thought I'd take a chance. It came with a case, neck strap, cleaning cloth, sax swab, cork grease, a box of reeds, and a pair of white gloves. It includes both a straight and a curved neck, both of which work fine. I was able to get a good tone out of the horn with no trouble. For the most part it looks, sounds, and plays just fine, at a fraction of the cost of other comparable instruments. I will get better reeds and cork grease, and will definitely upgrade the mouthpiece, but those are the only items that feel cheap to me. Basically this setup, plus $50 for the upgrades I mentioned, and you're off to the races, but you can make do with what comes in the box until then.

Nice sax with accessories
This soprano sax arrived quickly. It looked great and came with many accessories. The daughter, an experienced instrumentalist and played many instruments, said the higher octave of one key is not working. She also tried using different mouth piece as an experiment. We returned and hoping to buy another one soon.

Great value entry level soprano
I was not expecting much given the price point, but I've been very pleased with this instrument. I was looking for an inexpensive way to dabble with a soprano before committing any major dollars on a name-brand instrument. This has worked out nicely. Tuning is consistent across the notes, and haven't run into any issues with the keys or pads. I did upgrade to slightly better mouthpiece which did improve playability. As some have noted, the case had a bit of an odd odor to it which has dissipated over time. Will see how this holds up in a few years/decades, but so far so good.

Too many defects with this Soprano Saxophone
This instrument has too many defects some keys are down but should be up. And some keys are just stuck this is a nightmare. But itβs all packed back in the box I just need UPS to pick it up. Iβm willing to try a replacement maybe this was just one bad apple in the bunch.

Sound was crazy....
I've been playing saxophone for over 20 years. I don't consider myself a pro, however this horn is designed for people who know how to tune the horn. It was about a note to note and a half set out of tune. I was looking for something that I could just grab and play for a non paid gig. I absolutely couldn't use this. If you don't know how to tune the horn or have time to get it professionally tuned I'd look for something else. This was a beautiful horn. The packaging was safe. Beautiful color. I couldn't give it zero stars because of those mentioned. I knew this reading some previous reviews and thought I'd give it a chance. This will make a great horn once its actually in tune.

I've been a sax player for the past 29 years, have played and owned a multitude of horns over the years, good and bad. If I paid 5 times the price for this same sax, I would still be satisfied with my purchase. It arrived in great condition. I had to do a minor adjustment when I first inspected it, but it took me less than 2 minutes to find and fix. (The arm that raises the Bb pad on the left hand was rubbing against the G key's pad, once I put a bit of pressure to align it, it was fine. plays beautifully and easily and has no tuning issues that other sopranos don't have. feels solid to the use, not like a toy. My only nitpick would be that the cork on the necks is a little on the brittle side, but that can be remidied or simply exchanged easily and for the price, I can't complain. ***Because of the fact that some minor adjustments might be required, I suggest you purchase if you have a bit of experience with sax maintenance, or know someone who does, or you can always look on youtube for a sax repair/maintenance tutorial. Great buy, extremely satisfied

Nicely finished for both instrument and case. A better mouthpiece and a few minor tweaks would give a solid setup for a learner. Extremely good value for money.

I'm impressed with the build quality and playability of this saxophone. I'm even more impressed with how much care the manufacturer put into packaging it for shipping. The mouthpiece is a bit small and cheap (not surprising for an instrument this affordable) but an upgrade is not expensive and easily obtainable. Overall I am quite happy with my purchase.
