I just came back from a fishing trip to Maine where I put this reel to work. I wasn’t sure how well this plastic reel would hold up. I paired the reel on a 7’ rod with 15 pound line. I tied on a 1/2 oz spinner bait and put to the test. WOW! After a week of small mouth fishing I would have to say that this reel did not disappoint. To throw a number out of how many fish this reel cranked in you wouldn’t believe. Only issue was that the reel does need to be serviced before you use it. This was disappointing but for the price tag it didn’t bother me. Who knew a plastic reel could be this good. Definitely worth the price. Wouldn’t think twice about purchasing another one,

Still smooth after many 8 hour trips of hard bass fishing! I use it for squarebill cranks and some deep cranks too! Very lightweight and built good.. For 35.00 it’s well worth it !

It is a good reel didi backlash though

For the money these work pretty good. Not the lightest or smoothest or longest casting but they work. Have several of them and so far no failures over couple years of use.

Received wed out on the water thursday. Best baitcaster I have used to date. Thing helped me haul in 17 pink salmon and 1 healthy coho. Released the 13 and kept the rest including my coho. Smooth like butter when paired with a silky 8 braid. None of the fish battled never touhed my drag.

Best bang for your buck if you're looking for a smoothe casting and easy to dial in baitcaster. That matte black looks great on colorful rods. I recommend a 7ft medium light to medium heavy rod to toss around lures. The durability or the reel is surprisingly well. I've dropped it a few times while fishing and its still going strong.

Great for the price

This is a great reel but it's the 100 size. They should put this in the product description. I wanted the 200 size. Rufus said it was the 200 size when I asked before i ordered. If you want the 100 size fast service you will get it in a day.

This is my first baitcasting reel in decades. It is very easy to adjust the drag on the fly, set reel tension and magnetic brake. A paired it up with a Berkley Lightening Rod 7 foot, Medium heavy. Once set up, it is very easy to cast with no backlash. I am using 20 lb test 8 strand line and it will cast a jig really far. I hauled in a large channel cat, and with a quick adjustment of the drag, it was easy to tire the beast out and haul it in. So far I have used jigs and pickerel rigs, and it casts them all well. Caught pickerel, gold eye, pike and channel cat, and it it suitable for all with the 20 lb braided line. I would recommend this reel for anyone starting out and wanting something simple that works well to cast far and avoid backlash.

Holds up very well when playing fish took it out and had a few pike and the drag is very nice over all the reel its self is very smooth

Super smooth, pretty good drag and overall a 7.8/10 ...for a reel in this price range, there isn't one nicer. I've caught a few 4 LB largies with this real and it has handled them very well. Don't expect this reel to out cast a shimano curado, but it'll give abu garcia a run for their money

This is the second one I order because I really like the first one. It’s nothing amazing, but it is dependable, works as it should and you can’t beat the cost. The mechanism is silky smooth and hasn’t let me down yet.
