Useful for gardeners!
I garden and it's important for me to have an accurate idea of the weather round the garden. I got this weather station because weather apps and the NOAA forecast don't get close enough to inform me about conditions exactly where I am. I've had this weather station for about 4 days now and I like it. It wasn't hard to set up once I had equated the buttons and their actions fully with the instructions, and it seems fairly accurate. Currently I have one station reporting but I may get another one or two. to place in other parts of the garden - you can add another two stations to this system. My garden is difficult and has some hotspots in the summer which fry both my roses and my vegetables and I will have to use shade cloths at some point, so extra reporting stations will help, especially as there is an alarm that can be set on this unit with both low and high temperature conditions. I like that I can have it bright or dim or not visible, just by touching the top front, and I like having the phases of the moon shown too. The display is large enough that I can see it across the room. It is worth noting that I found that where I positioned the in the house affected the accuracy of the interior temperature reading. I had started by placing it in a corner of the kitchen by an exterior wall and it wasn't able to register the temperature of the room close enough relative to the temperature reading from the heating/air conditioning control panel, and read it as a few degrees cooler. I moved it into different places with more air circulation until it registered the interior temperature close to what the panel said. Keep it away from heating vents/air conditioner vents, coffee machines, cookers, toasters etc., etc., and you should find the interior reading pretty accurate. I hung the outside temperature and humidity monitor on a nail facing North on a post a few feet from our porch. I thought it would have a better accuracy than in the porch itself, and that is working well.

Accuracy, accuracy, accuracy. What else really matters?
The Hodik Weather Station is an impressive device. I'm a physicist (a physics prof) and I care about measurement accuracy above all else. Aesthetics are nice, but first a device has to provide accurate values for the quantities it reports. I've been studying the Hodik Weather Station for several days and I'm getting good results. Technically, it provides accurate values for temperature, humidity, and barometric pressure. Measuring temperature is relatively easy these days; thermistors are amazing devices that are easily instrumented and almost any engineer can build the electronics to get good temperature values from thermistors. In other words, I'm not worried about temperature values. The physical quantity that most of these inexpensive devices struggle with is humidity -- it's a difficult measurement, requiring a good sensor and some sophistication in the electronics and computer analysis. I've bought a bunch of too-inexpensive devices from Amazon that claim to measure humidity. Most of them provide only minimal accuracy -- about all they can report is dry, medium, or humid. Anything else they claim is just meaningless numbers. To my delight, there are a small fraction of inexpensive devices that actually report meaningful humidity measurements and this Hodik weather station is one such device. Moreover, it does the job both inside and outside. I wish I could compare it to a precision instrument -- getting humidity to 1% or better requires very careful measurement, probably with a sling psychrometer, and I don't own such a device. Nonetheless, I am confident that the Hodik unit is within a few percent of true humidity -- something I can't say for most of the gadgets I've purchased on Amazon. I've watch its humidity values over a few days and they agree with physical reality (e.g., dew and condensation in the environment) as well as with other high-quality devices I trust. Yay Hodik! The devices themselves (indoor and outdoor units) are nicely built and engineered. I've never seen an outdoor unit that displays temperature and humidity locally -- that's a cool addition and I wasn't expecting it. The indoor unit is fine, but it could use a "quick start" explanation. The user manual is typical for Chinese equipment and is a bit too much for most people, including me. So here is a quick start "manual": 1. Insert 2 AA batteries in the remote unit and 3 AA batteries in the indoor unit (or plug in its power adapter). 2. Put the remote unit outside. 3. Tap the lightbulb-Zz "button" on the top center of the indoor unit to see what's happening -- it's not a physical button; it's touch sensor that probably detects the capacitance of your finger. That "button" takes some getting used to. 4. Note: if you plug in the power adapter and tap that "button" once, twice, or repeatedly, the display will stay on. If you use only batteries indoors, you'll have to keep tapping the lightbulb-Zz button, which is a nuisance. 5. About 5 or 10 minutes after you turn the unit on, the radio antenna icon will disappear and you'll then be able to set the time, date, etc. At that point, the "mode" button on the back of the indoor unit will start working. Cycle through the settings, using the up and down buttons to get the values right. 6. You'll now have a fully functional indoor unit, except for the fact that the "atomic clock" accuracy won't kick in for a day or two or three (it requires radio contact with WWVB from Colorado that will happen in the early morning hours). The atomic clock isn't in the unit; instead, the unit listens to WWVB and obtains super-accurate time from that transmission. It took my unit 3 days and a repositioning to get it to sync with WWVB. Bottom line: this Hodik weather station is a great device. I've used other stations over the years and this one is at least as good as the best of that group. I am particularly happy to have a remote/outdoor unit that measures humidity accurately. That it reports that humidity (and the temperature) at the outdoor unit itself is an added bonus. Wow, that's a cool feature!

Good weather station but with some flaws.
I really wanted to like this weather station and for the most part I do but it does have a flaw and a minor irritant. The station is easy to set up if you read the instructions. The screen is very bright with big numbers and is very easy to read and has great viewing angles. The only angle that is no good is if you have to look up at it. Side angles are great and better than all my other weather stations but for some reason the screen fades if you have to look up at it. This is also a problem with every other weather station I own. I'm not sure why this can't be corrected since every other angle including looking down to it is great. The indoor and outside remote temperatures and humidity reading are very accurate but the barometric pressure is way off and never corrected and calibrated correctly. It's default reading is 29.88 in/hg when you first power it on but after a month now its always .25 to .30 inhg lower than my actual barometric pressure. I had to eventually change the reading myself to the correct pressure which you can do but I shouldn't have to do this and I didn't have to do this on any of my other weather stations. But now that I did it's accurate. So just be aware that you may have to eventually set the correct pressure reading yourself. Now the one thing that irks me. On every other weather station I own and ever owned the outdoor/remote reading on the main screen was always in a cool color shade either blue, white, or purple while the indoor reading would be a warm color shade like red or orange. This unit has it backwards with the remote temperature a warm yellow color and the indoor a cool blue shade. This may not be an issue for you but considering I'm used to seeing cool shade colors for remote outdoor readings and warm hues for indoor readings this really irks me that they did it this way. Another thing that may bother some people is that all the setting buttons with the exception of the light button are on the back of the unit so if you mount this unit on the wall you will have to take it off to use any of the buttons like see the high and low temperature for the day. I wish the high and low daily temperature was shown all the time on the screen like my accurite weather station shows but you can still view them by pressing a button on the back of the unit. Overall this is a very good but not great weather station and is a good value for the money I paid for it. I like it but don't love it because of the reasons mentioned above. LIKES Very bright screen with great viewing angles. Large display with big bright numbers. Shows current moon phase. Temperature and Humidity readings are very accurate. DISLIKE Barometric pressure reading was way off and never calibrated itself correctly, I had to manually set it to correct it. The color scheme for the indoor and outdoor temperatures readings are backwards. This bother me but may not be an issue for you. I wish the daily high and low temperature readings were always shown on the screen instead of having to press a button on the back of the unit to see them.

Something That Makes You Say "WOW!" - UPDATED Sept 20th, 2025 (3 YEARS LATER!)
UPDATE - It has now been almost 3 full years since I purchased this weather station and I must say, it's still going strong. I have not had any issues with it what-so-ever! The only thing I have had to do was change the batteries in the outdoor sensor (simple!). So glad I made the decision to buy this! _______________________________________________________________________________ Original Review: I thought 'how good can this be at this price point?'...this is an amazing value! I previously owned a Lacrosse weather station similar to this that cost twice as much 7 years ago. Although it had a slightly larger display, it did not have all the features this unit has. Also, the Lacrosse unit was a bear to set up, the instructions were minimal and not very clear. NOT SO, with this weather station! One thing I don't see mentioned in the reviews here is the MARVELOUS job they did in putting together a well written and illustrated User Guide. Seriously, I expected to see all sorts of misspellings and bad grammar, instead what I found was plain, clear, and concise English. Great Job! This is super simple to set-up, just take your time and refer to the step by step set-up in the guide book. It took me about 15 minutes to get everything set the way I wanted it (I'm very picky). The display on this is very clear and colorful. The most important information can easily be read from across a fairly large room - if you have decent eyesight. The color scheme is well thought out. Indoor and outdoor temperatures are displayed in different colors so you can distinguish which is which...handy if the temp outside is close to the temperature inside. Accuracy - keep in mind that just because your temperature display may not exactly match your local official temperature, it does not mean the accuracy of the unit is bad. It is not uncommon to have 2 - 3 degree temperature variances. Many factors can affect the temperature display, such as where you place your outdoor sensor (follow the guides suggestions!), and localized pockets of cooler or warmer air close to you versus your local official station. Particularly if you live in a low lying area vs a slightly higher elevation. Directly above the display in the center you will find what looks like icons representing light/Zz. Don't be an idiot like me and look for a button to adjust your brightness level or put your display into sleep mode. These icons are touch sensitive. Once the unit is plugged in you simply touch the icons to adjust your screen brightness. Also worth noting is that if you have the Atomic Clock synchronizer ACTIVE, the screen will blank out every hour on the hour for up to seven minutes until your sensor makes a connection. This will only happen during the wee hours of the morning, not during the day. You also have the option to turn this feature off and manually set the time, date, etc yourself. All-in-all, this is one heck of a bargain. It is not some cheap piece of junk. I fully expect this will serve me long beyond the one year warranty provided. I highly recommend this!

Easy set up
Easy set up, large screen and easy to see the data. I like that there are 3 brightness settings. I was pleasantly surprised and highly recommend.

Randomly loses 2 hours. Dont waste your money.
The clock doesnt keep time. It loses an hour or two within a week. Dont depend on it for the right time. It shows rain when its sunny and dry, and shows sunny when its raining. You would be better off looking out the window and going outside to accurately determine the weather. AND the clock randomly loses an hour or two intermittently? You need a weather station and a clock to check to make sure this weather station/clock is right. Making me, more than once, late because the clock lost 2 hours overnight. Now the outdoor sensor is giving me trouble. This "weather station/atomic clock", is the only thing its made for and it does a poor job of that. Pretty colors on the screen, but thats it.

Worked great until remote sensor died
Update to this review below, I was sent a replacement sensor after I contacted customer service. Arrived quickly. Great customer service. Thanks! This item would’ve had a five star review up until now. The remote sensor stopped working. Tried the batteries, tried leaving it without batteries for a while. Product is only 10 months old. Disappointed that I can’t seem to find good troubleshooting or be able to order a replacement.

Great Customer Support
Impeccable customer service. The first one I received was slightly out of calibration. After contacting Hodik, they immediately sent me a new one which is working perfectly. Their quick follow up and communication has made me a loyal customer.

Forecasters rarely get it right
I used to depend on watching the nightly news to get the forecast for my area but I find they have been less than reliable of late. I turn more frequently to a government website to get an idea of what type of weather is coming down the pipeline but even that is hit-or-miss at times. I’ve always been curious about these home weather stations. This one features a fairly large display (7-1/2”) which is colourful. The display shows the time, day of the week, date and moon phase. You can select Celsius or Fahrenheit. It shows barometric pressure, humidity levels plus things like weather forecast and trend and daily minimum/maximum data. The brightness level of the screen is adjustable or can be darkened completely. The main unit has a sensor and there is a remote which can be positioned outdoors or on another level of your home to record information there. The Atomic is not available in Canada so us hosers will need to set the date and time manually, eh! The weather station can support 3 sensor but the unit comes with one. I’m not sure how much important moon phase will be for me but humidity levels are of extreme interest to me due to my arthritis. I’ll know if it is going to be a bad day or not just by the humidity levels. I’ve never understood barometric pressure but I do know that I usually get a migraine when there is a change in the barometric pressure. I’ll need to learn more about it but it may help me to manage my headaches better if I know there’s a good chance of one coming on due to the weather. I am just starting to learn about how the weather is tracked and calculated but this week will be interesting. It is supposed to hit 28C tomorrow but drop down to 5C at night next week. I’ll be watching to see how accurate the weather station is and what other tidbits about the weather it can offer. Not only is this convenient but it can be an interesting family project of learning about weather together. I know I am enjoying being my own forecaster. The cost of the weather station in April 2025 was $14.99 Item reviewed: *Weather Station with Manual Setting Indoor Outdoor Thermometer Wireless, Humidity and Temperature Monitor Barometer Hygrometer with High Precision Sensor CA *I include the item reviewed original listing in the event that the listing is changed over time. My rating system (as of April 2025) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ = Knocked my socks off and exceeded all my expectations ⭐⭐⭐⭐ = Excellent product, is as described, no hesitation in recommending ⭐⭐⭐ = Good product with some issues, would still recommend ⭐⭐ = Major issues and problems, hesitate recommending ⭐ = Cannot recommend at all

Big, Bright, and Handy—Solid for Everyday Use (Even Caught the Atomic Clock Signal in Alberta!)
I picked this up hoping it’d make the morning scramble a little smoother—and honestly, it's been surprisingly useful. The screen is big, bright, and easy to read even from across the room, which is great when you’re juggling school lunches and trying to guess if the kids need raincoats or sunscreen. Setup was pretty easy, though I did have to tinker a bit with the settings. The instructions are clear, but the buttons are all on the back, so adjusting anything means flipping it around—not ideal if you’ve already mounted it. I really like the outdoor sensor showing temp and humidity both on the station and directly on the sensor itself. That little screen on the sensor is actually handy when I’m in the garage or on the porch. You can connect up to three sensors if you want to track different zones (like backyard, front porch, maybe even the greenhouse if you’re fancy). It doesn’t cycle through them automatically though—you have to press a button on the back each time, which is a bit clunky. The atomic clock actually worked here in Alberta, which surprised me—I figured it wouldn’t pick up the signal, but it synced up perfectly in a few minutes. Just be aware it doesn’t work in every part of Canada. Also, it doesn’t offer all time zones (if you’re in Newfoundland or Atlantic, that could be a dealbreaker). As for accuracy, I compared it to a couple other thermometers I have, and it was within half a degree. The humidity seems solid too. Plus, I love that it shows trends over time and includes moon phases—my daughter’s oddly obsessed with the moon right now, so that’s been a fun bonus. My only real gripe is the overly sensitive touch area on top. I keep accidentally turning the display off or dimming it when I try to adjust something else. But the option to dim or shut off the display is a lifesaver if you have it in a bedroom—no glowing light show while you’re trying to sleep. All in all, it's a solid weather station for everyday family use. It gives you a quick glance at what’s going on without needing to open a weather app or look out the window in your pajamas. Not perfect, but definitely helpful.

A lovely little weather station
I’m quite taken with this little weather station. The build quality feels good, and I really like the oversize screen. I find the black background easier on the eyes than standard screens, and the colour display is very attractive. It also hosts quite a bit of information, from date/time, to moon phase, weather forecast, etc. The screen comes with an AC adapter, but it can also be used with 3 AA batteries, if you prefer. I like that you can change the screen’s power settings by tapping the backlight/standby button at the top (you can choose from full, low power, or off). A temperature probe is included, and it requires 2 AA batteries (which aren’t included). One of the neatest features is that the receiver/screen can also communicate with temperature probes from some other generic brands. I’m currently using another brand on our porch, and this immediately picked up the signal as soon as I plugged it in. That can allow you to monitor other probes by setting them to different channels and then switching between them on the screen. Setup is a bit confusing at first, but it’s easy once you get the hang of it. When you plug it in, press and hold the “Mode” button for three seconds, and then you’ll enter the edit mode where you can change the date, time, etc. The manual is helpful and easy to understand if you run into any trouble. This appears to be a solid little unit, and my ever-worsening eyesight really appreciates the larger screen. When I ordered it the price was listed at $14.99, which I think is a phenomenal deal for a product of this quality. No price is currently listed though, so I’m going to provisionally give this 4 stars in case the price changes. 4 stars

Good weather station for metrics at a glance
I ordered this hodik weather station for home use as it seems like a great way to get quantitative data all in one panel at a glance without having to check various sources like my phone and websites for weather for example and even things as far out as the moon phase. It has a colorful LCD display screen which is bright and vibrant and I don't see any dead "pixels" or crystals on it. The unit is well made in the plastic seems to be durable and I don't see any manufacturing defects on either the sensor or the main unit screen. It can be powered by battery or by AC plug which is included and its a 2 prong plug so it can work with extension cords as well. The cable is approximately 6 ft long. The sensor that it comes with looks like it's made from a different type of plastic because it's a different color or shade of beige so perhaps it is UV resistant I hope, as it does not State anywhere in the operating instruction manual if it is UV resistant or not. I like how the battery compartment covers are all either clip-on or slide on and do not require any screws. The unit has two legs at the back to allow it to stand up on the table by itself that fold into its own body that work as stands and they are spring operated which is nice. You can also hang it with two nails in the wall but the nails are not included. The buttons on the back of the unit are hard plastic buttons that offer a stiff click and they are responsive and easy to understand as the labels are all there. Overall this is a very good unit and I've compared it with other thermometers that I have and it's very close and consistent in terms of temperature readings.

doesn't have all time zones available
Weather Station with Manual Setting Indoor Outdoor Thermometer Wireless, Humidity and Temperature Monitor Barometer Hygrometer with High Precision Sensor CA. The weather station has a nice looking screen with different colors to separate the different measurements and make them stand out. It is bright but can be dimmed (bright, dim, off) using a touch location at the top. The screen has a built in stand to sit it on a desk or counter and it also has built in hangers to mount it on the wall. The device is powered using plug in power supply, or it can be run off a battery. In battery mode, the screen light shuts off after 10 seconds of no use to preserve power. When plugged in, it stays on if you want it on. The weather station supports 3 different sender units at the same time, but only displays 1 at a time. You can select which one displays, but it doesn't cycle them if you have more than 1. That is an inconvenience because the select switch is on the back, so you have to take it off the wall to change channels. The weather sender units are nice and have a switch so you can select which channel each sender unit operates on. Each one also displays its own temperature and humidity on a small LCD screen on the front of the sender device. They work well and seem to have lots of range. The temperature was accurate enough. It measured within 0.5 degrees of another more precise and trusted temperature device I have. I was able to easily set the time and functions of the weather station. There were only 4 time zones (PST, MST, CST, EST) available and I was able to cycle between them. I couldn't find an Atlantic time zone (AST) nor Newfoundland time zone (NST). Since I am in the Atlantic time zone, this is useless to me. I like the look of this weather station and it works fine for measuring temperature, but it has a few minor annoyances, especially with the time and channel selection.
