It really works!
I was in the pool chemical/pool service business 47 years. Now retired. There have been new-fangled pool treatment supplements forever. I usually look them over out of professional curiosity, even tried some, but was never overly impressed over the long haul. I've taken care of hundreds of pools and still maintain my own. A friend told me about his success with the Pool RX over the years, so I bit and bought one my my own pool. Six months in, and I'm a new believer. Yesterday I put in the six month "recharge" elements, and plan on using Pool RX on the regular. Doesn't eliminate the need for other regular chlorine treatment......it provides a good "extra" boost for pool sanitation. I purchased it myself, not a promo to boost reviews. Get one, you'll see.

Works on black algae
I had been struggling with black algae over the last five months. In the past i handled black algae by rubbing chlorine tabs on the spots, but this last summer was very warm and the black algae started to spread continuously. In the past it had been in grout lines and occasionally in my pebble tech. Then it started forming in my pebble tech and spreading slowly. I tried rubbing chlorine tabs on it, then purchased algaecide from Leslies, and Algatec from Amazon. I was wire brushing the algae several times a week along with the Algaecide treatments. The black algae was literally unaffected and got worse. I closely monitor my pH and chlorine levels, been doing it for 15 years, and was at my wits end. When you research they all say their product works, but I am very skeptical with my $$. After about two weeks, and only a little wire scrubbing, my black algae was gone! I'd buy it again, nuff said!

Great productโฆ
I used this item with the algae ball I purchased and after one day the yellow algae was gone. I followed the directions and I brushed my pool and ran the filter the required amount of time. We usually struggle with yellow algae due to the high temperatures we have in Texas. Previously Iโve only used the algae ball with so so results. Adding this product has worked perfectly and no more algae even though weโre having a long string off high temperature days. I havenโt changed anything with our regular pool maintenance chemical usage either. The only thing you have to do is watch the pressure level on your filter. Our pressure doubled but after two weeks we could backwash it to bring the pressure down. Amazon has been the best price Iโve found for these products. Iโve bought the algae ball for over $100 before at Leslieโs Pool Supply and I wonโt do that anymore. Great value for the money!

it works
we opened our pool a month and a half early, and we started seeing algae form more often. The original PoolRX works in our 35k gallon pool for about 3 months, but we needed a boost, and this booster did the trick. Need much less Chlorine now after applying. We keep our PoolRX product in the filter basket before the sand filter, not in our skimmer but believe the instuctions say you can also do that (we keep the original PoolRX product still in the basket as well as PoolRX say even though you think its 'spent' it still 'activates' the booster so keep it in there until getting a new unit next year).

Keeps our 20000 gallon pool algae free
We tend to get mustard algae at the beginning of the season when the pool starts to warm. Our old pool guy recommended this product, and it works well to keep the algae under control. The sides still need regular sweeping, but the algaecide takes care of it once the spores are in the water column.

The right amount works.
Kept algae at bay for 6 months but I have to treat my pool for 40k gal. So I use one regular black with one black booster. Wish they lasted a year for the price! Expensive

Great Stuff 3 Year user
I like Pool RX vs the floating solar copper units. I am able to use Pool RX with 1-2 3" chloring tablets without using liquid bleach. BTW, never use liquid chloring pool bleach when using Pool RX, it will cause the pool RX minerals to fall out of suspension and stain the pool surface. Keep ph. adjusted and only use 3" chlorine tablets. Great stuff!

Bye bye algae!
This product has no rival. Is the only one to combat algae in your pool. We are not experts or professional on cleaning pools but you don't have to. I bought the first one and we changed our filters. And didn't seem to work so we contacted the customer service, they have the best service ever they refunded me and sent another one as well explained to us that the problem was that the chemicals got trapped on our new filters, so we rerun the process without the filter been on. In less than 4 hrs the pool started to look good. I. 3 days the water was pristine and clean not a single hint of even being about to be dumped. Because the water was so horrible that we thought didn't have a fix. We are impressed with the product. Customer service advice to use the booster every 3-4 months.
