They are holding cereal. I have no idea why we couldn’t just keep the cereal in the boxes it came in but what do I know. These boxes close very well, maybe too well. Even the lids seem cheap and cheesy compared to what is shown in the picture. Don't get me wrong I'm sure they work just fine, but it's just disappointing when the product that arrives looks nothing like it does online.
