Crimping tool

Gets the job done, but lacking in some of the small details.
The tool itself works as it should, no complaints there. Some of the smaller details are lacking, though. I wish there was some instructions on which die was for what type of thing to crimp. Not all are labelled, leaving me to just guess on what I should use. Additionally, the case is definitely no specifically made for these. It's better than no case, but there's a lot of extra elastic loops in it, and I really struggled to get the crimping tool out at first. Overall, it's a good value for the various dies you get, but it is lacking in some of the small details.

Surprised this works and takes dx attachments !
Cheap but right ?? No !!! It works and can use dx attachments. The jaws fit all lmr 400, lmr 600 213 58 ..etc etc.. I haven't found one it doesnt fit ! Case is perfect fit. Not cheapo. I was 100% surprised. U need a strong grip,same pressure as the tool from " thewireguy". Very happy and wicked surprised..lol

The devil is in the details
I bought this tool twice as a friend walked off with my first one. Worked well with LMR-240/RG-8X, but today when I went to swap out the die for LMR-400 I ran into two problems. First was there was no hex wrench to remove the die screws. They are metric, so I had to go buy a metric key set. Next was getting off the screws - they are indeed soft, but with the right hex key they came out. When I went to crimp the LMR-400, it was apparent this was a bad tool. The crimp was floppy and loose. I went to a friend's house and he crimped it again with his tool, and voila, it was fine. I went back to the item in Amazon and found the problem. The "LMR-400" die is listed as being 11.00 mm. LMR-400 is 10.9mm (0.429"). A tenth of a mm might seem within tolerance but it's definitely not.

Good tool, but total lack of instructions!
There are no instructions whatsoever with the tool. The 5 sets of jaws are not identified, and there is no guidance as to what size die to use with a particular coax. If the manufacturer can advertise the wide variety of sizes the tool will crimp, it should include a listing of the appropriate tool setting for each. I had to look up the size for my coax from a different tool manufacturer! The tool crimps well - IF you can figure out what size to use!
