This is a surprising strong rucksack that is very well made. Mine has been to Tanzania as hand luggage on the flights there and back, as a day pack on safari and on a hike and to a waterfall. It currently serves as a beast of burden with large hardback a4 diaries, notepads, files and journals and has surprised me by not falling apart at the seams (sadly can't say the same for its owner... !) I really am very impressed with the large capacity, the pockets and usability. Despite the straps having zero padding, the rucksack, fully laden is still incredibly comfortable to use! Highly recommended. I want the other colours but this one has done the job so well, it will be travelling everywhere with me.

Bought this as a Christmas present for myself! Wanted a lightweight backpack and as this folds up quite small it is ideal for holidays. Lack of padding and structure hasn't been an issue for me and have found it no more uncomfortable than a normal one. Just don't put anything sharp in the area nearest your back! It has plenty of zipped pockets and seems durable. Doesn't claim to be waterproof and isn't - although it will cope with light showers. Quality of material is better than expected and I'm very happy with the product so far.

Bought this to use initially as hand luggage and then also as a nappy bag. Fantastic as it was lovely and light. Loved the pattern design and easy to reach side pockets. You do need to pack softer things towards the straps if you are packing a lot in just to keep the weight soft on your back, but I didn't mind compromising on this as I wanted a really light bag. The only thing I could say I felt it could possibly do with was a couple of smaller pockets on the inside (there was already one) but that is being quite picky!

Bought to keep in the boot of the car for improptu days out with the kids. It it really well made and lightweight. I routinely carry 4 water bottles, an SLR camera and spare coats for the kids in it. I would say that, due to the fact it is so lightweight, it lacks padding on the back piece so that the load can press into your back. Packing it with this in mind solves the problem though so no issue. Any added padding would negate the packaway size. It has several compartments which are really handy too. Brilliant product!

Bought as a cabin bag but decided against it for something more square in shape in the end. Very nice looking colourful little backpack with a couple of handy pockets. Definitely would suit more of a day hike though even though size is suitable for a cabin bag. Squeaky type robust fabric tgat could be sprayed to waterproof. Not sure how comfy straps are but should be OK if not loaded with more than 5kg.
