What you see is what you get — and that’s rare these days. This colorant delivers exactly as advertised. The color itself is hard to describe without sounding dramatic. It’s bright, bold, aggressive, almost violent feeling — a vibrant, in-your-face shade that feels intense and alive. It’s not a color you’ll easily ignore. A little truly goes a long way. The first time I used it, I eyeballed a generous amount, mixed it into the powder, added water, and got complete, saturated color. The second time, I used about half as much and still achieved full saturation. If you want softer pastels instead of this rich, vivid result, you’ll definitely need to measure carefully. I plan to start weighing it out (x grams of colorant per y ounces of mix) so I can dial in the exact intensity I want. Highly recommend if you’re looking for strong, true-to-picture pigmentation. Just start small — you can always add more, but you can’t take it away! I'm very much looking forward to trying all the other colors in their line.

I bought this to darken some blue synthetic rubber paint for an in ground swimming pool. There are not a whole lot of options for different shades of specialized paint for pools. What you can buy from a manufacturer looks like a municipal swimming pool. I wanted it to be dark like a midnight blue. I could not find anyone to tint the paint darker so I had to figure out how to do it myself. After looking at many products I went with this. It worked great and I achieved the color I wanted. Easy to use just a lot of mixing with a power drill to make sure it was well mixed.

More Grey than black

Measure the pigment and other ingredients by weight, then record the ratio for every batch—because “approximately one mysterious scoop” is not a reliable color formula. I appreciate how easily this pigment adds warmth and character to handmade concrete projects. It is versatile, concentrated, and offers good value for money when used in measured batches. Plain concrete had a respectable career, but after seeing this shade of brown, it may be ready for early retirement.

EXTREMELY IMPRESSED! Compared this CEMENT powdered pigment against 2 other brands & it came out the winner by far! The color is deep dark & intense which is beautiful & wonderful!

Do not use for clay. When it was fired ALL pigment burned out.

it is a brown pigment, but if you are familiar with pigments, burnt sienna has a reddish hue when mixed with a white or light gray cement

So disapointing... their product description states that the mix ratio of the powder should be at 10% maximum, but it's not nearly enough to get the right color. It won't reach the right color under 30-40% on mixing ratio, and that would make the cement useless, and it would cost wayyyy more that what is anticipated if you follow their instruction. If you want the color that's showed, be aware that it won't happen... Edit: the company seems to really have at heart their product accuracy, they did take measures to make sure the images really represent their product and will update their page. They take my experience seriously and they have an amazing communication service.

The Goodtake Concrete Pigment is great, not much needed to get the color your looking for.

for artists, painters, or construction projects where some color will bring some creativity, this simple blue pigment has a variety of uses. Very consistent powder granule size (very fine), and dissolves easily. I hope the come out with other colors in their pigment line. Very happy. Recommended.
