Will the door close after hanging the shoe organizer over the door?

Yes, the tops of hooks are flat and doors close easily. They fit on all closet doors, and are useful for most anything...shoes, pantry, bathroom, etc.

Is the mesh heat resistant, or will it melt? First of all, the item is technically a "shoe organizer." I would never put a heated element inside the pockets -- this is not the design of the product. I enjoyed using the product for travel. It was very functional as a place to store small toiletries, etc.

Would this work for rolled bath towels?

I don't know how this works for rolled bath towels. I use this for shoes. Works excellent!
