Knock Knock: A Chilling British Crime Thriller (DCI Kett Crime Thrillers Book 10)

WOW, that was an amazing read, what a book! I literally couldn't put Knock Knock down and I couldn't read it fast enough. I was on the edge of my seat from start to finish and even though the story was pretty gruesome I still found myself laughing out loud, usually at Clare and Duke's expense, the nose hair references were just too funny 😂 The story was brilliant and kept me entertained and engaged from those first pages until the very last. Even though it's got more pages, it didn't feel any longer than the other books because you're getting carried away by the momentum of the fast paced story line.I first read the Paper Girls after coming across it on Kindle Unlimited and I was invested in Kett straight away. Alex Smith 's books are so easy to pick up and get right into without any boring preamble on the way. I know exactly what I'm getting when I buy these books, a terrific read that takes me away from my own reality for a day or two.I love Kett, his crazy family and his team. He's not got an easy life though and everything he becomes involved in is unfortunately extremely believable in our scary world.I totally recommend these DCI Kett books, you won't be disappointed, lots of crime, action, murder and humour too. If that's what you're looking for?I love these books so much I've bought all 10 books in the series now, so I can re-read them while waiting for KING RAT........................👑🐀

Another amazing thriller of a ride from Alex. As an avid follower of DCI Robbie Kett and his family and comrades I breathed a sigh of joy as I saw this had been released early. I read it in one day and would have been quicker but had to keep stopping to take a breather and try to slow down. An intricate plot and again my well loved people ( yeah I know they’re fictional but not to me!!). Robbie, Pete Kate, Billie and co all had a part to play. Left the last 2 chapters til I wouldn’t be disturbed by other people. Then left stunned. What a cliffhanger. Nearly stopped breathing. Come on Alex. When is King Rat even coming out. Get writing and don’t leave us in suspenders for too long please. Xxxxx

I didn’t even know this was out !!! and I just clicked on my email and saw a message saying it was available!!! I have read the book in a couple of hours !! Children, housework, animals, garden, anything has gone to pot as apparently I growled at them when they came near me !!! I don’t know whether I love you or hate you Alex smith ??? I literally devoured this book !!! And I am waiting with bated breath for the next one !! So don’t leave me too long !! X

Wow, what a book. I have enjoyed every single one in this series but this, is by far, the best. I simply could not stop reading. The pace of the book was gaining speed throughout and I really could not guess where it was going. The humour from the previous books was still there and the characters are like old friends. However, the last few chapters had my heart racing and as for the ending - well, all I can say is I hope book number 11 is going to be published soon! Bravo Mr. Smith.

Could hardly wait for this book and as soon as it arrived couldn't put it down ! My favourite author ( and I read all the time ) and this one was explosive ! Only downside is waiting for book 11 King Rat to appear in November . Well done again Alex it had everything in it , from suspense to black comedy . By the end of the Kett novels you actually feel part of the team , or family . Loved it just like I did the previous 9 .

Between the horror of the job, the banter ofcolleagues and the family this series is so good. I could not put this down once started and had no idea what would happen. Cant reveal the ending, it would so spoil the book. But, cant wait for the next one, if its only to wonder if the rest of the cake was eaten and what happened to Mr Nibbles?

I was hooked from chapter one, this has to be one of the top crime books I have ever read. It has a great balance of being very gruesome (heart pounding) to hilarious (crying with laughter). All the DCI Kett books have been gripping but boy this one is so fantastic, it leaves the reader wanting more.

Excellent as ever but the ending! How am I supposed to survive till the next one? I keep looking at how far in I was to see if it was rectified in this book but now I won't bloody sleep. Hottest day ever today and this ramped my temperature up even more.
