This bike is a perfect fit for girls who love riding over all terrain: from the Sidewalk to dirt trails, the Lustre 20 will have them grinning everywhere they explore. This aluminum machine is lightweight yet tough enough so it can be passed on to the next rider as kids grow. Six speeds tackle ups and downs and are easy to use, thanks to the trigger Shifters. The linear pull brakes can be adjusted for small hands, while wide tires and a squishy suspension fork help kids stay comfortable and in control when the trail or Sidewalk gets bumpy. This 02-1510010 fits riders 44"-54" Tall, aged approximately 4-9 years old.

Lemon...can’t recommend
Purchased April 2020. Monumental disappointment during our current pandemic. After my husband spent over an hour assembling, the handlebars wouldn’t stabilize making the bike useless. Like another review mentioned the instructions are general, not for this specific bike making it a little more vague to assemble. The video attached shows the stem cap that screws together with the stem cap bolts properly in place, but the stem cap never secures the handle bars despite being securely and properly screwed together- so you’ll see how the handle bars slide from side to side, turn and twist insanely loose. In the one image you’ll see the manual showing a black ring that came in the box loose. It appears to be a “headset wedge” that should’ve never been loose. In the page pictured (on the left side of the Headtube) it shows this section as “Installed by Factory” so why do we have a loose headset wedge?....Another item that came loose is the white wheel reflector for the back bike wheel. The front wheel pictured shows it pre-installed on the spokes. But not the case for our back wheel. Looks like it broke off during shipping? Maybe?Someone failed on the Q & A with this bike. We got a lemon.Being that we’re in the middle of our pandemic with COVID 19; we’re not even trying to contact DB potentially wasting more time than already invested (since another reviewer stated the pointless goose chase they went through). So good luck rolling the die here if you decide to purchase. Luckily we’re still able to return this. And as for a replacement, we’re just going to wait to go to a bike store (sigh).

Zero Customer Service. Stay away
The bike is half assembled, making the remaining installation rather easy despite their generic assembly instruction that are not specific to this bike. However, if by chance something was wrong, as was the case with our rear brake, which was pre-assembled out of the box, do not expect any customer service help. The phone number in the assembly guide is not valid. There are no customer service phone numbers to be found on DB's website. I found one number online from Google. Not sure if it was DB or a 3rd party customer service outsourcing firm. But the person who answered certainly did not want to answer any specific questions. Our family have bought several DB bikes in the past through Performance Bicycle. And the experience was positive. But now that DB has decided to go direct-to-consumer, they are not upping the necessary customer service. That is a shame. Will never buy another DB bike.

One piece at a time....
I had several issues assembling this bike and felt like I was living the Johnny Cash song "One Piece at a Time." Let me explain....The box arrived in one piece and all evidence was this was a new bike that had never been opened or unpackaged. Assembly wasn't too bad but there were no instructions provided. There was a general Diamondback owner's manual that told you how to ride a bike and basic bike safety, but zero assembly instructions. I managed to assemble most of the bike in about 45 minutes and it did come with the proper sized wrench, Allen wrenches, and you'll also need a Phillips screwdriver. One of the final pieces to assemble was the seat and the wrong sized seatpost was provided. A 28.6 mm seatpost was provided and this was too large and wouldn't slide down. There was zero chance it would fit even if I used a sledgehammer. Knowing from prior reviews that Diamondback customer service was useless I opted to order a new seatpost from Amazon. This bike requires a 27.2 mm seatpost which added another $10.99 to the cost of the bike. As I was making sure the brakes and gears were all working properly, I noticed the rear tire was freely spinning even when applying the brakes. Upon closer inspection it was missing one brake pad so back to Amazon I went to spend another $8.99 on new brake pads. However, I wasn't done there because, like other reviews mentioned, this bike doesn't include a kickstand so back to Amazon I went to spend another $11.99 on a kickstand. Finally after all of the extra parts and another $30+ dollars later the bike is finally assembled. It is a great bike, rides smooth, and age appropriate for our almost eight year old daughter. I figure she will get about two riding seasons out of this bike before needing a larger size.So long story short, this is a nice bike for an 8-10 year old girl. Even the blue bike is a feminine color/appearance so she is very happy with it. I recommend ordering a white kickstand since is matches nicely with the blue/white bike. Although I am satisfied with the final product, I would avoid ordering this from Amazon and go to your local bike shop. I order from Amazon for the convenience but buying, assembling, and ordering more parts was anything but a convenient process. I went to a local bike shop and they had a similar Diamondback bike in stock and I would have gladly paid more to avoid the hassle of my purchase.I am going to give this bike two stars because I am pleased with the final product. Three stars were taken off because the process of getting to the final product was just ridiculous with missing parts and the extra money spent.

Nice re-boxed bike
I ordered a re-boxed bike. The box is ugly, been cut open and re-taped. Quality of the bike is good though. Wrapping and protecting was not even removed. It’s easy to put together. Looks great and very sturdy. The only issue I have is the color. It showed purple but comes in blue that’s probably why it got return. And Amazon repeating the inventory mistake. Fortunately, my daughter was not complaining, so we decided to keep it.Hey, we got a re-boxed price and were prepared to receive a bike with slightly defect. Color might be a kind of defect I assume.
