I would give this straw close to 3 stars for if the hiccups are ongoing and 4 stars for regular hiccups. My husband used this straw during chemotherapy. The hiccups were caused by the strong drugs he was taking at the time. It only worked on days when the hiccups were not constant and then it would start again. My husband had to contact the doctor's office for medication which stopped the hiccups. I think it is safe and very easy to use. It is very portable and the size is good for just about anyone to use. I did not like the packaging it came in, because I think for a straw, it should have been well sealed. In my head I was thinking the straw could have already been used. I received mine 2 days after and paid for next day delivery and it is already expensive. My husband did not experience no weird taste using the straw.

Literally we can’t believe this thing worked! We’ve had it for 2 years and didn’t need to use it but tonight our 6 year old suddenly got the hiccups THE NIGHT BEFORE STARTING FIRST GRADE, couldn’t fall asleep with hiccups. We tried all the usual tricks until I remembered that we had this. First try and it worked! I’m still in disbelief and waiting for them to come back but this is amazing! Definitely thanked my past self for getting this and preventing an our nights sleep before starting school! You won’t regret it, still shocked.

This thing has worked 100% of the time. I don't really understand why it does, other than something to do with forcing air out of a place it shouldn't be by making drinking slightly more challenging than normal. I'm also not some alternative health guy who thinks Big Hiccup is trying to hide the truth from you. It literally stops the hiccups immediately. It should be a thing on the shelves of every drug and grocery store.

This straw stops hiccups immediately! It is so easy to use (just sip through it). It’s 1000% worth the cost and ends painful and persistent hiccups. Amazing. Would buy again and also recommend to anyone who suffers with hiccups.

Absolut empfehlenswert! Funktioniert bei den Kindern super. Nach 1 Glas Wasser mit dem Strohhalm getrunken ist der Schluckauf weg. Würde ich allen Eltern empfehlen. Kein langes Leiden mehr mit dem Schluckauf für die Kleinen.

I get really long-lasting and painful hiccups, especially on nights out. I've tried every hiccup remedy under the sun and NOTHING works the way this does. It takes maybe 10 seconds and my hiccups are usually gone FOR THE NIGHT (unheard of). I carry one of these with me at all times, even my friends swear by them now after using mine!! The cheap versions work the same, I just purchased this because I lost my cheap one and this got here quicker. BUY ONE OF THESE NOW! THEY'RE AWESOME!!!
