I purchased these for my used Ford police interceptor sedan. I had to use FORScan to program the computer on my car so I could enable them! Everything went well and they're working great so far! There are two step to programing First the Key and then the Remote Functions. Start with the Key then the Remote. How to Program a 2014 Ford Taurus Ignition Fob Smart Chip Key Step by Step How to Program Instructions: Use these instructions if your Ford Taurus has the remote/key combo system. You must have two previously programmed keys and the new unprogrammed key readily accessible. If you only have one working key then you will have to have a Locksmithprogram a second key with special equipment or Buy a Programmer Here. 1. Insert the first previously programmed key into the ignition. 2. Switch the ignition from off to on. Keep the ignition on for at least three seconds, but no more than 10 seconds. 3. Switch the ignition off and remove the first programmed key from the ignition. 4. After three seconds but within 10 seconds of switching the ignition off, insert the second previously programmed key into the ignition. 5. Switch the ignition from off to on. Keep the ignition on for at least three seconds, but no more than 10 seconds. 6. Switch the ignition off and remove the second previously programmed key from the ignition. 7. After three seconds but within 10 seconds of switching the ignition off and removing the previously programmed key, insert the new unprogrammed key into the ignition. 8. Switch the ignition from off to on. Keep the ignition on for at least six seconds. 9. Remove the newly programmed key from the ignition. If the key has been successfully programmed it will start the engine and operate the remote entry system (if the new key is an integrated keyhead transmitter). If it was not programmed successfully, wait 10 seconds and repeat Steps 1 through 8. Use these instructions if your Ford Taurus has the smart key system. Note: You can program a maximum for four smart keys to your vehicle. You must have two previously programmed keys and the new unprogrammed key readily accessible. If you only have one working key then you will have to have a Locksmithprogram a second key with special equipment or Rent a Programmer Here. Ensure that the vehicle is off before beginning this procedure. Ensure that all doors are closed before beginning this procedure and that all doors remain closed throughout the procedure. Perform this procedure exactly as described below, and perform all steps within 30 seconds of starting the sequence. If any steps are performed out of sequence, stop and wait for at least one minute before starting again. Please read and understand the entire procedure before you begin. 1. Place the new unprogrammed smart key in the pocket inside of the center console with the buttons facing out and with key ring up. 2. Press the driver or passenger power door unlock control three times. 3. Press and release the brake pedal one time. 4. Press the driver or passenger power door lock control three times. 5. Press and release the brake pedal one time. The indicator on the START/STOP button should begin to rapidly flash, indicating the programming mode has been entered and two programmed smart keys have been detected in the vehicle. 6. Press the START/STOP button within one minute. A message will appear in the information display indicating that the new smart key was programmed. 7. Remove the smart key from the center console pocket and press the unlock button on the newly programmed smart key to exit programming mode. 8. Verify that the remote entry functions operate (press lock then unlock, making sure you end in unlock) and that the vehicle starts with new smart key. For Remote Functions (door lock/unlock/panic): Close all doors, open driver's door and press the car door unlock button Insert key, turn ignition OFF to RUN 8 times within 10 seconds Door locks will cycle to confirm programming mode Press any button on remote within 10 seconds - locks cycle to confirm Press any button on the next remote to program it. Better Instructions. Procedure A: This worked for My 2014 Taurus SEL 1.Close all doors, then open drivers door and press the Unlock button on driver’s door while it is open, insert key into ignition. 2.Turn ignition from OFF to RUN 8 times within 8 seconds, with the 8th time ending in RUN. Door locks will cycle to confirm programming mode. (if the door locks do not cycle, then it was done incorrectly. You must start over by removing key and beginning from step 1) (Off is the position where you can remove your key, RUN is the position just shy of starting your car.) 3.Within 10 seconds press any button on the first keyless remote to be programmed. Door locks will cycle to confirm programming. If you only have one remote then skip to step 5. 4.Within 10 seconds, press any button on the second keyless remote. Door locks will cycle again to confirm programming. Repeat step 4. for all other remotes. 5.Turn ignition to OFF. Locks will again cycle to indicate end of programming mode. *If this does not work try the procedure with the door closed. Procedure B: 1. Fasten seatbelt and close all doors 2. Turn the ignition from OFF to RUN 4 times within 3 seconds. 3. Turn the ignition OFF. The system will chime to confirm programming mode. 4. Within 10 seconds, press and hold any button on first keyless remote. The system will chime once to confirm programming. 5. Within 10 seconds, press and hold any button on second keyless remote. System will chime once to confirm programming. 6. Turn ignition to RUN to exit programming mode. Please note: All steps should be performed in fairly rapid succession. If you never get the initial chime or door lock cycle, that means the vehicle has never entered programming mode. You should remove key from ignition, open and close the door and start over.

These worked perfectly! My very old fob (from the dealer) broke apart in my hand. I ordered these. Called the locksmith to come to our house. Showed him the old one. He was able to cut and program both keys. They work beautifully for our Ford Flex 2014. It’s so nice to be able to rely on the buttons again haha

The price point is definitely better than the Ford dealer. They want $300 per key. The keys seem a bit lighter and the buttons don't respond as fast as the OEM key fob. That being said, the product works well. I installed a OEM factory remote start in my Edge and needed a different key set up than what I have ( 4 button remote to 5 button remote). I ordered them and had the keys cut and programmed by a locksmith, which took about 15 minutes to program due to the Pats system in Ford vehicles. No issues so far. I gave them 4 stars due to the fact it's a recent purchase and I want to see how the keys hold up over time.

These keys work as advertised. I had only a transponder key 🗝️ without key fob remote. I bought these keyfob keys with full knowledge that I would have to have a locksmith or dealer since I didn't have at least one programmed keyfob key. 1. I went to Lowe's (their key machine is computerized and only cuts their keys)... they don't sell my key. I usually get replacement keys there. 2. I went to Home Depot and the young lady cut my keys free of charge. I'll be getting my replacement keys at Home Depot now. 3. Lowe's gave me the business card of a locksmith with exceptionally reasonable rates ($85 to program up to 4 keyfob keys at the same time). Note: The keys must be cut before programming. The ignition switch must be turned off and on. I get tired of people writing fictitious reviews because they failed to read or damaged the product themselves and won't own up to it. That causes others, and sometimes even me, to miss out on quality products at a reasonable price/cost. There's nothing wrong with the keyfob keys if you follow the directions. They gave me an estimate and a two hours appointment instead. Grateful for YouTube contributors. I was able to delete the "My Key" program, thanks to the purchase of these keyfob keys. The previous owner had programmed the transponder key with restrictions on radio volume, no seatbelt/no radio, and a maximum speed limit of 65mph. The speed limit in my area are 55 65 70 with average motorist speeds 65 75 80+. I was afraid for my safety each time I had to get on the expressway on-ramps.

My vehicle is remote start activated (I have other keys that will start he car) These keys arrive, and I was able to get them cut. I was able to program them to start the vehicle when turned in the ignition switch. I was able to program the key fob to work with 4 of the 5 buttons - but the remote start button does nothing. Now I have 2 keys that would allow someone to steal my vehicle if I return them, and do not do what I bought them for which was to remote start the vehicle. There seems to be no way to get any technical support. My only options are to keep them, or return them. Will they even take them back if they have already been cut?

Only one fob would program. Replaced battery in second fib.still won't program.

I had them Cut at Canadian Tire for 5$ Then programmed by a lock smith

worked like a charm, any key cutter should be able to cut them, then just followed the online instructions for my ford explorer 2012. Must have two keys already programmed to your vehicle to be able to do it yourself.

Got the keys cut for $4 at Canadian Tire, I programmed it to the car. Enabled remote start. Bam!! Got remote start on the explorer for less and $80 lol

These CANNOT be programmed to actually Start your vehicle. They are INCOMPATIBLE. Ford Dealer said these were a complete waste of money. Locksmith said the metal was so cheap - they couldn't even cut them without damaging their machine. DO NOT BUY - THIS IS A USELESS PRODUCT
