I participated in a Tough Mudder this weekend and used the MudBandz to protect my Fitbit Alta. I was skeptical because there was no way to waterproof seal it, but it seemed to be my best option. After 5 hours of crawling through the mud and being in and out of water my fitbit was 100% dry at the end of the race. One tip I'll give is I took the band straps off and wrapped just the tracker in the two sets of rubber banding and used the neoprene cover as the method to keep it on my wrist. doing it this way I was able to fold the rubber bands around the tracker about 5 times each so it was very protected from the elements. Great product and I highly recommend this product if you are looking to protect your tracker in a mud race.

Not great for me
Universal was too big. It also kept pausing workout during my run. Water did seep in.

Good for a mud run
I was a little worried when buying since a lot of reviews mentioned sizes and I only had the "Universal" option, which also wasn't mentioned in the product description, but I believe it is the "Xtralarge" size. It fit and completely covered my Garmin Venu Sq (1.5 inches wide). The inside rubber sleeve was see thru so I could see the screen and kind of interact with the watch before the race, but kept it completely closed with the outer fabric and didn't try looking at it during the run. It kept my watch completely mud free!

MudGirl Effective!
Used to protect my Apple Watch during MudGirl MudRun. Fully submerged several times, no issues afterwards.

Is not swim proof...but I guess it's ok since it doesnt claim to be
I bought this to use with my old Fitbit flex to track my swim activity since I cant take my Gear watch in the pool. Good thing I didnt try this out with my watch. I suppose it doesnt claim to be 100% waterproof which is why I did give it 4*. I'm a pretty slow swimmer though in my laps so I was suprised at how much water did get in it. The flex was skinny enough that wrapping it in the silicone plastic band first ( it covered it twice over) and then the comfortable fabric one, I thought would keep it dry. Oh well. Just thought I'd share my experience if others were tempted to try this out for swim.

Worked Perfectly
I got this for my Series 4 Apple Watch, to run a Tough Mudder. I could not be happier with the result. Watch came out unscratched. I will not tell you that it kept very speck of dirt out, but my watch had no new scratches on it after the 9 mile / 25 obstacle course on a rainy day.For those wondering, it will not keep track of your heart rate while using this band. But the GPS worked to create a map and it did give me active calories, though I have no idea how it figured those out. I had to turn off “wrist detection” on the watch to keep it from lock during use.Would definitely recommend for anyone looking to keep their Apple Watch safe during a mud run.

It’s ok
Update:I’m changing my rating from 2 stars to 3. If there was the option for 3-1/2 that is where I would put it. It does an excellent job at protecting a device, but I have to knock off points because of the fit and ease of use.I purchased this to protect my Fitbit Versa from dirt, sweat, and scratches while working in the yard. The neoprene sleeve works well for that purpose. There is still limited access to the watch. I probably will never use the TPE band. It requires nimble fingers to get it on over the neoprene sleeve, and is almost too short to get folded over my Versa. Considering there are larger devices than a Versa I think their sizing is way off. Even the fit is a bit snug. My wrist is smallish at 7 inches, and a large is a bit too snug. The neoprene sleeve alone isn’t too bad, but adding the TPE sleeve makes it too constricting. Given that joints can swell during workouts this could feel like a boa constrictor after awhile. The instructions are misleading. They show the bottom of the neoprene sleeve at the base of your wrist where your palm begins. That’s fine if you plan on wearing your watch above your wrist. You actually have to pull the sleeve partially over your palm to get the watch in the optimum location on your wrist. In pulling on the TPE sleeve, which isn’t exactly a smooth operation, you have to gauge where you want your watch to sit so that there is an even amount of the sleeve on each side of the watch. Basically, the TPE sleeve needs to be an inch longer and slightly bigger around. All in all, it does what it says it will do. I wish the form and fit were as good as the function.Original review:I’m giving this 2 stars for the only reason that it does an excellent job of covering my Fitbit Versa. The first problem is the fit. My wrist is 7 inches and the band is almost uncomfortably snug. Getting it on is like trying to squeeze Ethel Merman into a girdle made for Twiggy! Plan on spending 15 - 30 minutes getting it on. It would be a b***c for anyone with large fingers or dexterity issues. And I really doubt that the TPE band will last long. I may skip using it. I’ll update this review after I’ve used it a few times.Pros:Substantial coverageCons:Limited to no access to the watchFit is too snug (poor sizing instructions)Extreme difficulty getting it onPoor instructions for use.

Ripped on second use.
I was so excited to get this! When I took it out of the box, I saw that the "TPE Moisture Barrier" was not orange, but black. No big deal. Wore it swimming, first time was awesome. Second time, the "moisture barrier" ripped as I was putting it on. Complete disappointment. It is unusable now and it can't be returned since I already wore it. Don't waste your money. Buy a theraband, wrap a neoprene wrist guard over it and you'll get the exact same effect.
