great Portable SDS100 Scanner Antenna!
I have an SDS100 scanner and use this when I want to be portable. Works perfect for local traffic and I think it works with DMR? as they are switching here over to it this month. Great Portable antenna can't go wrong and the price is perfect too!

Remtronix 820S for SDS100. Worth buying!
Bought the 820S for my new SDS100 because I wasn't getting the reception I wanted in the "hole" I live in. One of the main systems I wanted to pickup was a local 850-860 MHz P25 Trunk System that shouldn't of been a problem. With the OEM antenna, the scanner would not hold on to the control channel for very long. The signal strength bars at the top right were 1, maybe 2, at best, but a lot of the time it would drop down to no bars and it'd go searching again. I confirmed this bad signal strength by moving around my house until the signal improved and the radio traffic resumed. As soon as this antenna arrived, I swapped it out and the signal strength immediately shot up to 4 bars, the scanner held on to the control channel easily and the chatter began! Haven't had a problem receiving this system since. Also confirmed that the signal of lower frequency, conventional, systems received just fine as well. Very happy with this purchase! Thank you!

Not much use in a metro area
I didn't notice any range increase that was advertised with this antenna. I live in a large metro area so coverage is ok regardless of the antenna. With that said, I didn't notice any increased range when I replaced the stock antenna. The channel I normally listened to still dropped out a certain distance from where I live even with this antenna.

Great antenna for 700 MHz systems
Picks up the 700 MHz and 800 MHz systems I am interested in. The flex of the antenna is a bonus.
