I bought these to wear for a Spartan Ultra Beast (30 miles) and they performed very well. They protected my legs and feet with no cramps. They never slid down and quite honestly, almost forgot I was wearing them. Like others, I was worried about thickness/heat and water retention. No issues at all. These are great, BUT I did get worn out heels on both socks after just one long race. I expected these to be a bit more durable and hoped to wear these on future races. Had the heels not burned out after 30 miles of mountain running, I would've rated these 5 stars. That being said, these served their purpose and went above and beyond my expectations. Edit***** MudGear customer service was very responsive to my initial durability concern and I have therefore edited my review to reflect both the company's motivation to please it's customers and to reflect the greatness of these compression socks.

Held up well during the WVA Spartan Beast. It fits snug on the foot with nice cushioning so I didn't get any blisters. They worked great on rope climb and traverse rope. It took a little while to get all the dirt and mud out of them but after washing them, they are still in perfect condition. I highly recommend.

The product arrived as promised. I've only used the socks once for a recent 12 miler tough mudder and they held up great. Not sure why others have had pics posted that they were made poorly and were tearing. My co-worker has a pair that he has used for 7 tough mudders and they have lasted. The socks were a bit difficult to get off but that was expected since they are compression socks. Overall the quality of the sock is outstanding and I would recommend the brand to anyone who runs tough mudders, spartan races or trail running!! Great Sock!!

The only reason I give these 4 stars, it is because of the high price. They are one of my favorites. I have some that are too thin and I have to wear socks on top of them. Not with these. I use them for work and exercise. I have purchased 4 different kinds. Elimination of foot soreness works with all of them so shop around. All of them will feel tighter than regular socks, hence the compression. I have gotten used to them very easily.

Just completed the Conquer The Gauntlet Atlanta Race on May 13th wearing these socks and the performed perfectly. Throughout the duration of the course they never slid down. They stayed snug around the calf and kept them from cramping through all the shock of jumping and running. For the most part they kept the mud away from the feet so not to cause blistering. Outstanding product in my opinion and highly recommended for OCR.

My husband and I LOVE these! These did not move at all and gave SUCH great support. These were like second skin and even with my shoes full of mud I didn't feel it at all. No slips, no cuts, no worries. Not once, in those 10 miles, did I have to stop to adjust my shoes or socks.

I ordered these for my first Spartan race, they fit snug, and helped protect my shins from the elements of the race. I was nervous that I would feel wet socks after being emerged in the mud puddles, but I didn’t have soggy feet. I would recommend these!

Bought for a female, they are slightly large at first but they eventually conform after one wash and are still a fantastic purchase! Best socks in the industry!
