Packaging
Great product but needs to be packed better because they eye shadows get broken when thrown around during delivery

Really impressive! Perfect if like foiled shimmers!
This comes with no outer product box, just the palette. Ingredients and product info are on the back of the palette. It’s made in PRC. It says it is vegan. It’s also cruelty free (certified by PETA).The palette is cardboard. It has a nice weight to it. It has a nice look to it. Nothing fancy, but still a nice look. It has magnetic closure. There’s no mirror. It has shade names below each pan.I did finger swatches on my clean forearm (no lotion, primer, etc.). Each is 1 swipe.I honestly wasn’t expecting much. I’d tried other Catrice eyeshadow palettes in the past and they weren’t ever very good BUT I heard they changed their formula, so figured I’d give it a try and boy am I glad I did! It’s pretty darn impressive! This has 12 shades total. It is a very shimmer heavy palette - it has 3 mattes and 9 shimmers.SHIMMERSThere’s 3 that are a kind of standard shimmer - “Sand,” “Daydream,” and “Infinite.” They’re all soft, smooth, and have nice sheen. “Dune” is a very smooth, almost creamy. It’s what I’d call a metallic. It has a wet, metallic look. “Sandstone,” “Sunkissed,” “Desert,” “Sunbeam,” and “Heat” are all foiled metallics. They are soft, kind of creamy feeling, and easy to pick up. They can be a little flakey, which I’m sure you can see in my swatches. But, they apply smooth on the lids. I’d just recommend using your finger or a sponge tipped eyeshadow applicator (I get a big bag of dual ended sponge tipped eyeshadow applicators at the Dollar Store to use to apply my shimmers and metallics because they give me an application like my finger would, but with precision I can’t get with my finger). If you use a brush, I’d recommend wetting it or doing your eyes first because your can get a little bit of fallout using them since they’re a little flakey. But, they’re so beautiful on the eyes! They all wear well throughout the day.MATTESThese are all very soft, smooth, velvety feeling, and blend out very easily. There’s only 3 mattes in this palette - a very light bone color, a light grungy yellowy brown, and a light orange. There isn’t any depth. For me with my fair skin, I get 2 transition shades and a blending out shade with the bone colored shade. I can pack on the grungy yellowy brown to get a little depth, but it’s not as dark as I usually want. It’s not a big deal because I can get it dark enough to give me decent depth and can reach for a black or darker brown from another palette or my singles if I want more depth. But, I haven’t really felt the need so far. My only complaint is there isn’t a darker shade.Overall, this is a really impressive palette! I’ve always loved Catrice products, but like I said before, their eyeshadow palettes just were never that good. But, it had been a long time since I tried one and after hearing Catrice had changed their formula, I figured it was time to give their eyeshadows another try! I’m glad I did! Catrice definitely has changed their eyeshadow formula, at least with this one! I saw they have another palette that came out with this one called “Rainforest Haze” that has beautiful greens in it. I’m definitely going to be grabbing that! Now I’m interested in trying more of their eyeshadow palettes that have come out more recently! If you’re looking for a warm toned eyeshadow palette and love wet, metallic, foiled looking shadows, this is a palette for you!

glittery but good
I'm in my mid-50s but I'm still a sucker for new makeup. This collection is a little glittery for my taste but it's still fun to play with. Easy to apply (you'll need your own brush or applicator) and easy to build up color intensity. I didn't experience any eye irritation when using this product.

Flattering colors
I've always wanted to wear eyeshadow but never figured it out. This is a renewed attempt. For $12 I got to experiment with a variety of shades that sounded up my alley. I'm actually enjoying them. There's a nice variety of matte and shimmery shades - I didn't find any to be glittery, and I was not wanting that. The colors are buildable. Just a light swipe adds a hint of color and shimmer that looks quite natural. If I go no further, I'm happy with that. But I'll keep playing around and see if I can come up with more dramatic looks too. Since I was just testing out different colors for a few hours, I didn't use primer or setting spray, but I didn't notice any creasing. The flap is magnetic. I didn't love that the only seal is a piece of plastic held over the palette by a couple of stickers.

Just the right colors, cheap packaging
This seems like a cheaper set since it comes in a cardboard box, hard to store and keep long term. No applicator comes with it. However, I love the colors. I have been looking for something to replace my old similar palate and this is perfect. I have sandstone on my eyelids in the picture. It seems to stay on well and has a nice sparkle. It's good for the price.
