Works great, simple operation, directions are a bit fuzzy but overall coherent. This was installed in a truck camper that has a limited space design for a fridge. Evaporation coolers are a compromise between weight, power consumption, and use - If you have not used one before there are a few things to keep in mind (this may address those negative comments). With an Evap Cooler, the fridge utilizes a chemical that when heated and cooled creates a chilling effect to reduce temperatures inside the unit. This functions similarly to a compressor cooler but the result is not as quick as a compressor. Keeping the cooler out of direct sunlight, and reducing exposure to warmer environments assists in keeping food and beverages cool. In a camper or vehicle this is easy to do. Keeping the door closed except to retrieve an item will also help. Keep in mind that this is a "compromise" fridge where power, space, noise, and weight are better addressed while still providing a cold environment for your food and beverages. Having dual power for our camper install is great because we can run the fridge on either 12v battery or 120vac utility power depending on where we are staying.

This thing is terrible, 2nd I’ve had. First one had shipping damage and didn’t work. This one just doesn’t work. I got some cryptic message from “support” telling me to turn the fridge upside down for 8 hours, then upside up for 8 hours…..plugged in? I asked, no response. 0 out of 10, don’t waste your time making the cabinet to their specs; it still won’t work.

We bought this refridgerator for our campervan and it did not work once installed. We were waiting on repairs on the van so by the time we installed it, it was past the return timeframe. I contacted Smad directly and got no response. I then reached out to the seller through Amazon and they responded with some instructions to get it working. It helped but as soon as we got it in the camper again, it stopped again. Apparently it cannot be even a single degree off of completely level or it will not work. How they are marketing this for Trucks/Caravans/Rv's, I have no idea if it won't work being even a single degree off level. If you are buying to use as a mini fridge in your home/office it should be fine, just make sure it's level! **Update** I contacted the seller through Amazon and they did confirm it does not work when off level and even though I was outside of the timeframe, they allowed me to return for a full refund.

silent. yes. but the light doesn't work on 12volt and that makes it rather difficult to see. only works if plugged into 120v unfortunately small too. someone else posted a photo. it cannot hold a gallon of milk without removing the main shelf. as well. the area is so small and exposed to radiator cooling fins on the inside, everything freezes. the top shelf and middle shelf are fully in contact with the cooling fins. for the price of this unit i was really hoping for more space and temperature control. this is a bad purchase if you expect to do more than keep beers cold. not enough space to fit much groceries. far less than a traditional college dorm fridge. beware.

This is one of the best fridge for semi truck. I got 2021 Freightliner Cascadia. I have fridge set on highest call setting and it keeps everything pretty cold. Don’t need to spend extra money for dealer fridge. It’s pretty quiet, only way you will know it’s working once you touch your product

Do not buy this product, after you find out its faulty, you will get scammed upon return with no money back. If you are considering using this for an off grid small solar system, think twice, look elsewhere.

I got this because I wanted a silent fridge. This refrigerator did not disappoint. Get the largest model you can because space is tight I this fridge.
