Ordered this for my 7yr old for our flight back home and it was a hit. She loves crafting and this kept her from too much screen time. The instructions for each activity could be better but we figured it out. Love that it comes with googlie eyes, tape dots and an instruction book. I would recommend a big rubber band to hold the box closed, specially if your traveling.

You can get pipe cleaners pretty much anywhere, and perhaps you should go with a bulk order, like the one I saw with around 200 or so various colors available. That would amount to hours of fun. However, this set---there's something nice about the limitations, in particular because I expect this box to last a weekend with my two kids. The pipe cleaners themselves are fine, and with the googly eyes and accompanying glue circles, plenty of interesting cartoonish figures can be created. The guide book is wonderful for inspiration, if not very detailed at least. I'm sure you could search YouTube and find some earnest pipe cleaner artists to wow your own children, but I think it's nice to see my daughter and son participate in what is becoming an antiquated act: flipping through pages.This set, to conclude, has kept my children---who are 9 and 5---engaged all weekend. The eldest has little trouble crafting the more elaborate designs, but my youngest requires help, and if he doesn't receive it, then he makes something like a confetti gun, which is actually kinda creative when I think about it. Anyways, worth the purchase!

These are really cute and well designed high quality pipe cleaners. My son 11 yrs loved these and was able to be really creative and make his own stuff too
