Into the Fire
War has finally come and both master and servant are thrown into it feet first. As Ieyashu tries to "see tomorrow" all he can see is catastrophe and slaughter. Friends are NOT, and enemies MIGHT not be. Hanzo finds someone to love, in light and in shadow. But all that may be academic if Ieyashu cannot win a duel against a master warrior. With only what little Hanzo has taught him!It is the ending of the age of civil wars in Japan, but before it is over the country will be awash in blood and nothing will ever be the same. For those few who survive it.

Amazing glimpse of feudal Japan from one of the greatest manga duos of all time
This is a wonderful and captivating tale, the characters, cultural nuances, and plot twists are surreal yet incredibly engaging, this is one of my all time favorite mangas and I’ve read and reread this series many times, I hope amazon begins to carry some of Kojimas other works!!

On Being A Horse For Your Wife
The story of the two teens, one who would be a future great ruler and the other who serves him in the dark, continues. This time it is Hanzo who learns a few life lessons, including what is like to be a horse to the woman you love. The story may be too slow moving for some audiences who crave a battle every other page, but I find the pacing just right. It reads like a saga that is slowly unfolding, and I can't say that about many manga these days.

Problematic
Lone Wolf and Cub is one of the absolute best manga series is have ever read. It’s a shame that this is really problematic. While roles for women were not great in the first collaboration, Path of the Assassin seems to revel in the sexual assault of characters using them both as comic relief and the gateway to romantic attachment for characters. This is the 3rd such case in as many volumes.I’m going to continue reading because i in my haste and love of the other series bought the entire set, but this is very disappointing

Good but complicated
Like the other two series "Lone Wolf and Cub" and "Samurai Executioner", "Path of the Assasin" is a very pleasant book for one to read. But unlike the other two series, there is a focus on the geopolitical events of that era in japan and much less battles. Also it is almost impossible to remember all the different names and charactes that take part on the plot.
