William Wordsworth (1771-1850) is the foremost of the English Romantic poets. He was much influenced by the events of the French Revolution in his youth, and he deliberately broke away from the artificial diction of the Augustan and neo-classical tradition of the eighteenth century. He sought to write in the language of ordinary men and women, of ordinary thoughts, sights and sounds, and his early poetry represents this fresh approach to his art. Wordsworth spent most of his adult life in the Lake District with his sister Dorothy and his wife Mary, by whom he had four children. His remarkable autobiographical poem ‘The Prelude’ was completed in 1805, but was not published until after his death, and it is included in this full edition of Wordsworth’s poetry.

A Book of Poetry
What a book! It is a nice collection of poetry by William Wordsworth. It is advertised as a used book but it is in perfect condition. Thank you.

Goddess Kali
This is really good value for money, it is a soft cover and has a nice country house picture on the cover and it is really thick with lots of pages(1,060 pages) (size of a dictionary). It has poems written in youth, poems referring to childhood, poems founded on affection and naming places, on fancy, imagination etc. Poems on different times of his life. There is only his poems in the book. So if you like his poetry, this is a very good book to buy, it is not an attractive hard cover book for a coffee table, but more of a reading book.

If you love Wordsworth this book will be on your nightstand. An excellent value that I can't recommend highly enough.

This is an excellent compilation of the brilliant
This is an excellent compilation of the brilliant, scenic, passionate, human, profound, and vividly descriptive of William Wordsworth. I cannot think of a single one of his poems which is not featured in this book. The format is good, and I was very impressed with the pristine condition of the book, which I bought second hand. I strongly recommend this edition to anyone seeking to enhance their library and derive poetical pleasure from a book.

Great edition, great price
I've bought many Wordsworth editions before, and so it felt apropos to buy a William Wordsworth collection from them.Obviously the poems are great, but I'm impressed with the quality of this edition at such a low price. The spine is strong, pages are on the thin side but durable. My only issue is that the font is small, and that's where I shave one star off personally. Overall a great edition and something you might want to purchase just to get his best poems at a cheap price within a wonderful collection!

Great budget copy!
I wanted a cheap copy to travel (I travel with my work a great deal) with me all the time, although i have a nice bound edition i leave at home. This serves my needs very well. I dont really agree with the reviewer who stated that it will fall apart quickly, although i take his point. I think (I hope!) that if treated with care, this edition will last me very well. Has everything any lover of Wordsworth could want at a very cheap price.

On this Edition
I was always perfectly happy with the Wordsworth Editions, novels, as well as poetry collections. Ironically in this case, the name giver has been a little ill-treated. The massive bulk of Wordsworth poetry(in almost cubic form) is here givenat loss of:- line spacing,- and small type, and is therefore not recommendable to everyone. However this edition is very inclusive and of course is poems are great and very accesible. If you wonder which poet to take with you for a spring or summer walk: I say, Wordsworth(especially "The Prelude") is the man!

Buona lettura!

Lovely collection of Wordsworth poems
This book is beautifully presented for being less than £5! It is actually quite a brick of a book, which I wasn't expecting but was very happy about, and has a great selection of Wordsworth's poetry. I have been using this copy for my studies and because it is inexpensive, I am happy to annotate it. I am also collecting other books in this Wordsworth Classics series (publisher, not poet) and they all look nice together in my library shelves.
