The Backstreet Boys were the brainchild of talent manager Lou Pearlman, who wanted to create a boy band that would repeat the success seen by New Kids On The Block in the late 80's. In 1993 he recruited the five boys who would eventually comprise the group, and for the next three years they rehearsed, wrote and toured like crazy. Their hard work paid off in 1996 when their debut album became hugely successful in Europe and Canada. Their American breakthrough followed shortly thereafter. This karaoke collection features songs from the group's first two releases -- their self-titled debut and 1997's Backstreet's Back -- as well as their 2000 album Black & Blue.
