A: I ordered this, the 2019 version, because of "DESIGN: Padded cycling shorts for men with 9.5" inseam and 6-panel anatomic design".  I received the newer version, with the one-panel non-anatomic less comfortable Depends-like pad that I was hoping to avoid.  The shorts shipped directly from Shimano, FWIW.

**Q: Hey seller, the ad says 6-panel anatomic design.  Many reviews say they have 1-panel padding that doesn't work so well.  Which one are you shipping?**
A: Folks are conflating 2 different things - the number of panels of thin stretchy spandex that the shorts are made from (6 panels), and the number of panels that the chamois is made from (1 piece).  I'm an old roadie, been doing century rides for nearly 50 years - so long I've still got riding trunks with chamois made from real chamois. The new foam rubber stuff is better. The chamois in these looks like a piece of (flat) 3/16" wet suit material, and I think that's what is. The chamois in some of my pricier shorts is embossed with a curvy border indentation and a few lines in the center -- but they're all just stamped out of a flat piece of cloth-covered foam.
