Can you do a single grind with this:model 1786 dual grinder #22?

Yes, you can remove the first grind plate and the unit reverts into to a single stage grinder.

Does this machine grind bone as well? Soft bones like chicken, rabbit, small game, etc.

We do not recommend the Dual Grinders for doing chicken bones as the two cutting plate design would not let bones flow through it. Our traditional Big Bite Grinders sized #12 and larger can grind raw chicken bones. Turkey bones will not grind properly and we do not recommend them. We have not tested it on small game.
