Q: Some reviews say this company has exchanged the rubber grips on the side for plastic. I do not a case that will be slippery. Will this meet my needs?

Yes, the rubber on the back is now an indent, and the sides are plastic. There is some type of anti slip coating on the whole case. Honestly I hope they go back to the old design with the rubber. I still have enjoyed this and their case designs over other companies, been using it with my S22 Ultra since Launch (February). It still has same durability and drop protection as before.

Q: will is S22 ultra case work with any film (non tempered glass) appropriate screen protectors?

Yes, I've use multiple "film" brands with no issues. Just as you stated, you can not use glass with this case.

Q: Is this product really as good as advertised?

I also only buy these Speck cases for any new phone. The greatest threat to my phones is fumbling them, and the ridges on these Speck cases make the phone very easy to grip and handle. As a brand these also seem quite protective - my old Galaxy Note 8 with one of these fell a few times onto hard surfaces, and it never had damage.

Q: Can i use tempered glass screen protector with this case?

Because of how the case wraps around the sides of the phone. For my Note 20 Ultra, S23 Ultra and S20+, I was not able to get a glass screen protector to work.
