The need for this rug pad is definitely warranted. Its easy to lay out but I'd give it a day to in order to lay fully flat since it comes folded up in a box. Otherwise you'll notice that the rug looks raised up where the folds are. Make sure the rug pad matches the size of the rug you're purchasing instead of being smaller.
