It’s a great product
We’ve been feeding this canned food for a couple years now intermittently...we alternate between the different color cans of Butcher & Bushel, but they like this one, the orange can (chicken wing & thigh). The dogs get grain free kibble as the largest part of their diet, but they also get some canned food/cooked meat/veggies/various supplements. So yes, it’s true what you’ve read: there’s actual pieces of chicken in this can, bone in. IT’S OKAY. I SWEAR IT’S OKAY.The chicken has been cooked so that the bones are VERY soft and safe. I’m like you; the first time I saw it I was all WTF and scraped the meat off and threw the bones away. Opening the second can to find the same I got upset BUT as I pinched it between my fingers to pull it out of the can, it crumbled in my grip. Oh, I see now. What a great way to get them good tasty snacks!!They love it. It’s very safe. You will not injure your dog, even a little one.The only criticism is that I agree with those saying the meat-to-gravy ratio is a little shanky. Yes. I’d like to see more meat cubes or another wing shoved in here, as it is expensive. However, it is high quality and if you subscribe for a further discount, the price is more reasonable.Just know that yes, the solids volume leaves a little to be desired AND that the chicken bones are powder-soft and therefore safe for eating, and you’ll have no surprises! We continue to buy and the pack continues to think it’s good eating!

Dog’s Favorite Food
This was my dogs favorite food. Looks like it’s discontinued as I’ve only been able to find in on third party sites. It has bones in it. It says that. The bones are very soft; you can crush between your fingers. I break it up so my dog doesn’t eat the whole thing in one bite. I found a replacement but I can tell she likes the butcher and bushel better. She always circle the kitchen looking for more but she doesn’t do that with the new one. I think she likes the new one enough though so I’m happy we could find a suitable replacement. I feed her half can with half dry kibble as she likes to have more “bite” in her food.

Good, but could be much better.
I do like this food and so does my silky terrier. However, I find that it is mostly bones. I found anywhere from 2 to 4 bones and a little bit of food and mostly gravy. I don't think there is enough food in these cans and I feel like I have been feeding my dog bones with a few pieces of meat. They mention sweet potatoes, but I haven't seen any except for a few pea sizes pieces sometimes. I would like to feed my dog more veggies than bones and meat. I was excited to find this dog food- my dog is picky and she did like it. the fact that Nestle/Purina bought Organix doesn't make things better either. I am not sure if I will stick with this, but I have a few cans left. I was alarmed when I first saw the bones in the can, but then after reading many amazon reviews, I realized it was ok. The bones are cooked to a soft bone and are easily crushable with a spoon. Like I said before, I am starting to feel like all I am feeding my dog are bones and there are not enough other ingredients, and the can is mostly filled with gravy. I wish they would modify this for a better ratio without changing the price or ingredients and adding real meat off the bone and not processed (which is already kind of pricey). I like Merrick's "Smothered Comfort" where there is a whole thigh with a bone in the can.

Good food but too little meat
To be honest, the little chunks and large pieces of chicken in this dog food look good enough for people to eat. The only problem is that there is barely enough in the whole can for one meal for our 30 lb dog. It is mostly gravy -- a good tasting gravy, but seriously ... just a lot of gravy and very little meat. Our dog likes it, and I use the gravy to pour on top of the cats' food as a treat, but it's too expensive for the amount of meat in the can.

Great for our Pup
We've been looking for a good replacement food for our Jindo-Corgi mix. Purina food was NOT working for her at all. It made her stools runny and her stomach very upset. C&P is moving her back into a good guy health position and it helps she loves it. The 12-ounce cans last us two days and three meals, which makes her meals a dollar each and an amazing value overall with each order. My husband was surprised to find a bone in one of the cans but just tossed it.

Has formula changed? Very watery
The chicken wing and thigh is very watery, different from what it used to be. I feel I am paying a lot of money for chicken broth.

Bones are harmless in this
My dog loves this food! The bones are cooked in a special way that makes them easy to crush with just two fingers. My dog loves the fact that there is chicken meat and bones in there, there are also square chunks or meat, and some veggies. The broth isn’t thick until it’s in the fridge, and has a normal liquid consistency at room temperature. My dog has been eating this for a few months and so far so good

The cans we not filled at the quality level I purchased at Whole Foods
My dog was hospitalized with pancreatitis so I went searching for some quality dog food I thought she would eat because she was not eating. I bought 2 cans of this and low and behold she loved it and scarfed both cans down. Those 2 cans were loaded with turkey bits, gravy, and 2 chicken wings in each can. I was very impressed. However, I don't have a Whole Foods close to me so I went on Amazon to see if I could get some right away because those 2 cans were gone! And I did. So I ordered a case of it. It was waiting at my door the next morning (amazing). However, when I opened the first can it was half full (first photo) with mostly broth, 1 wing, and 2 pieces of turkey. The second can I opened, as you can see in the second photo, had very few turkey pieces and one chicken wing. Very disappointed with spending $3.33 a can on dog food. I haven't opened the rest of them because I am not ready to. I will keep you posted.
