A good product and a good supplier,
Purchased this device to mirror my iPad to a larger monitor which I then use in my work. After a little more than two months the device failed and quit working. I contacted the supplier and they sent me a new upgraded replacement.I had trouble setting up the first device because of instructions that were less than clear to a non geek but I finally got it to work. When I could not get the replacement device to work I had some unkind words for them. However after a string of emails it was determined that I had used the connecting cable from the device that had quit instead of the cable from the new device. When I switched cables everything worked fine. This may seem like a bad review but it is not. Electronic devices occasionally fail. These people stayed with me and the problem until it was fixed. They sent me a new and upgraded device and then worked with me for several days until the issue was resolved.

Quirky But Effective!
It does take some practice pairing this the first time but it works great! I was able to show my Android tablet through my 4K television and also my 1080p projector. It does take some tech knowledge to pair this and it isn't for novices, but it's easy once you figure it out. I've had mine 3 years and no problems.

Only worked for 2 weeks
So, after taking a few minutes to decipher the instructions and figure out how to link everything, it took twice for it to actually register... then, it worked two consecutive times without any issues, I was stoked. Then, it glitched a bunch the next time, then it worked the time after that... and now, my phone says it's linked but nothing is showing up. I've literally only owned this thing, maybe 2 weeks? Ya, unless I received some refurbished piece of junk, look elsewhere folks.Soooo, a waste of money and I'm super disappointed because I was so excited.

I feel like it was a waste of money
I couldn’t project the Netflix app from my phone through the wireless hdmi. I had to go ahead and buy an hdmi adaptor for my phone. I feel like it was a waste of money. Also, I generally wasn’t able to continuing using the internet while I was connected to the wireless hdmi. The one time I did have internet it was at “dial up” speed.

Frustrating for non-tech person.
I really don't if this "works". But I can tell you that the directions were complicated and made assumptions that I (admittedly un-techy but usually bright enough) knew how to fill the gaps.I wanted EASY. Noooooo bueno. (Roku and Chromecast waaaaaay more user friendly.)

This worked exactly as advertised. My specific application for this product was to be able to use Google Maps from my iPhone onto my aftermarket display in the car.The connection to the dongle is over the built-in Wi-Fi while access to the Internet still works over the cellular network. AirPlay mirroring works!Note: My aftermarket setup in the car does not transmit audio, but I did test the dongle on a TV using Google Maps to confirm both audio and video work. So, I still have some additional work on my end to get this 100% integrated for my setup, but this is not the fault of the dongle itself.

Works as advertised
This item comes with the power USB cable and hdmi adapter. It's plug and play and then uses your smartphone . Directions are simple. I have an iPhone and I connected to device via the device name in the wifi network. Then once connected and accessing device via the device address. Then reconnecting to wifi network and then using airplay function. I was able to play videos from my phone and music. Great item when your streaming player does not work
