Since I got a new MACbook, I wanted to ensure it worked with the slimmer design. This was the only one available at the Apple store and I found it better priced on amazon. It attaches with a simple magnet. It doesn't interfere with the keys. It works for privacy. On the negative side: Occasionally my screen dims so I know in closing it is touching the keys. Not a big deal to enhance the brightness. It attracts finderprints - big time - so always needs a clean. Lastly It does somewhat dim the brightness in general since you are looking through another screen cover. The distortion is minimal. Forgot to add - I did not use the bottom magnets. I read enough in the reviews to know that if you use the bottom magnets it can be a pain to get it off easy. Overall - This product does the job and exactly what it says!
