Aveeno Kids Curly Hair Conditioner, 12 fl. oz

When you smell it straight out of the bottle. it smells exactly. EXACTLY. like clean fragranced trash bags. And maybe clean diapers. And sunscreen? There's some very distinct and familiar fragrance I can't place, definitely a kids' or baby product I've smelled many times before, but cannot for the life of me put my finger on. But mostly it smells like clean scented trash bags. Anyway! I wouldn't say it's heavily fragranced, but I wouldn't say it's lightly fragranced either. It's regular ol' fragranced. I hated the scent at first and was afraid to use it, but I did anyway. I left it unrinsed on my ends too (You can do this with any conditioner, you don't need to buy a special leave-in conditioner.) just to really test it. The scent fades to nothing once the hair dries. To make sure, I asked my boyfriend to smell my hair (he has a strong sense of smell) and he didn't smell any scent at all. My hair is low-porosity, wavy, thick, coarse. It's a bob so I can't really judge the detangling ability, but it makes my hair feel very "slippy" while using it. I like the formulation for my hair type; I think I could get away with rinsing it thoroughly and not need to reapply to the ends, it really feels like it leaves a good layer of protection on the hair without being oily/heavy (and no proteins, thank god) for my low-porosity hair. My scalp is already less flakey! That's why I bought it, since I realized my mild "dandruff" might actually be just a slightly sensitive scalp. Maybe I'll update once I've used it a little longer. Anyways, I hope they keep the off-putting scent if it keeps it cheap! Five stars!

Love using this and the shampoo. My sons curls finally stay

This is the first conditioner I’ve used on my toddler’s curly/wavy hair since she was born, and it’s honestly been a really good experience so far. I wanted something that felt gentle, lightweight, and hydrating without making her curls feel heavy. I only need about a nickel-sized amount and mainly apply it from the mid-lengths to the ends, let it sit for a couple minutes, then rinse thoroughly. A little definitely goes a long way. It leaves her curls feeling soft, hydrated, shiny and easier to manage without weighing her hair down. I also like that the scent left behind after rinsing is actually pretty mild and not overpowering on the hair itself. My only small complaint is that the scent during application is stronger than I expected and can feel a bit overwhelming at first. Thankfully, once rinsed out, it isn’t really an issue anymore. Overall though, this has been working great for her curls/waves and I will continue using it.

My daughter loves this conditioner. There is no over powering fragrance. It helps to detangle my daughter's hair. My daughter has fine hair with a slight wave. She has had no scalp irritation.

Excellent, works great. Goes on and comes off easily. Hair is silky soft with no tangles after a wash.

Good hair conditioner, detangles and feels like it keeps some moisture in my hair. I prefer no scent or very lightly scented products and this is lightly scented, very nice. It does seem to feel a bit waxy on my hair but not in a heavy kind of way, my hair still looks and feels nice. I had to try a kids conditioner because I'm finding it more and more difficult to find adult hair products that are good quality and fragrance free.

I had been searching for the perfect conditioner for my daughter’s hair for a long time, and I finally found it with this Aveeno Kids conditioner. My daughter has very fine hair that was a little dry, and her curls were not well defined, so it was hard to find a product that really worked for her. After using this conditioner, I noticed an amazing difference. Her hair feels much more hydrated, soft, and easier to detangle. What surprised me the most was how well it helped define her curls. They now look much more beautiful and natural. Her hair now looks healthier, shinier, and the curls are soft and well defined. I also like that it feels gentle and lightweight on her hair without weighing it down. This has definitely become one of those products I will keep buying for her hair care routine.

My toddler has super messy curly hair. It becomes a big tangled poof ball so easily. I don’t have curly hair myself so was at a loss but this stuff has been amazing. Without it, her hair would get crunchy and frizzy so easily. With the conditioner, her hair is much shinier and soft. And even the next morning after she’s rolled around all night, I spritz just a slap amount of water and brush it back out again and it looks great. She had bad eczema as an infant and still has extremely sensitive skin but this stuff doesn’t irritate. All around win.
