Wow, This is Awesome
Wow, Awesome sport watch! It does everything. And it does everything great! This watch lasts forever on a single charge, compared to my apple watch ultra.

The Epix Gen2 has crispest screen. The touch feature is very useful
The battery life is as good as all Garmins. The sharp screen and touch feature are a game changer

A good sport watch but the sleep features are random
I was a happy owner of a Garmin Fenix 5X but it died after about 4 years. The EPIX touch screen and bright display appealed to me so I purchased it.Initially, the sleep tracking worked great but after a couple months it would report strangely poor sleep.Numerous nights reported 0 minutes REM but I could recall several dreams. The display is very bright and the GPS/Glonass tracking is much more accurate than the Fenix 5X.The wrist pulse tracking is good during the day but is frequently way off during exercise.I have to wear a chest strap to get reliable data.If I had it do do over, I would have gotten a different fitness tracker. For close to $1000 I expected more.

Not worth the money, poor HR sensor.
By purchasing Epix 2 I upgraded from Garmin Vivoactive 4 and now I wish I didn’t do that.1. Actual AMOLED screen size smaller than outer glass (about 15%). Epix 2 has metallic back and it does not feel as good as plastic back on Vivoactive 4 wrist skin.2. There are several features that Garmin didn’t think through. For example, treadmill activity has calibration of distance, but you can’t adjust grade. Obviously, you have different effort on 0% incline treadmill and on 10% - that should be taken into Garmin’s algorithm of calculations of final load. Also, would be logical to calculate load by ability of entering wattage from treadmill reading (or any other gym equipment – stationary bike, Stairmaster, etc.)3. On some strenuous exercise, like leg press machine, squats, bench press, and particularly Tabata series, watch does not register heart rate properly. It’s way off real HR. The same happens on occasion when biking up hill.4. Epix 2 can be connected to external temperature sensor, but I can’t find any information whether Garmin algorithms will use temperature factor in calculation of exercise load. Obviously, there are different efforts when you run at 65F vs 100F.5. Sailing race activity has 5 minutes warning time preset, but you can’t adjust it. It is standard warning time for many regattas, however sometimes you have start time according to your boat handicap ratings and obviously warning time would be different from 5 minutes.I can go on with other small things that Garmin overlooked but let me stop here.In general Epix 2would be good smartwatch with bright screen, maps, a lot of possible activities, but in my understanding has a lot of flaws which can and should be fixed. Not worth the money, wouldn't recommend to buy it.

Steep learning curve. Golf app became unreliable.
Golf app stopped working properly. Pool swim app a little wonky. Weight lifting rep counting not too accurate. You can correct the numbers if you keep count the old fashioned way, but what’s the point of that. Told Garmin, but they needed to elevate it to the nerd department for deeper review. Haven’t heard anything since. Updates are supposed to be automatic and maybe they are, but you get no confirmation that all firmware updates have been done and what they were. Garmin phone support is welcome, but there is nothing they can do about firmware problems except agree finally and elevate. Doesn’t synch that easily with Connect. Also, removing a workout from Connect does not remove it from the watch automatically after synch as implied, which I think it should. Downloaded and printed the 140 page user manual, but it’s not as comprehensive as I expected that it would be. Changing watch faces straightforward I suppose, but quite tedious. In fact a lot of the watch features tend to be tedious to implement. Very bright AMOLED display. I wouldn’t volunteer to be part of the advanced firmware user test program. You don’t get the same level of support and you need to go to forums, something that I don’t like. Sorry I bought a month before the PRO was introduced and the price was dropped $200.00!!! All (or most) of the firmware improvements for the PRO are supposed be backdated to EPIX 2, but who knows. Maybe the the PRO works better with newest operating firmware also. Supporting two or hardware platforms simultaneously is difficult.

Watch Missing
Just received the box. Seal of the watch box was broken and watch was missing. Contacted Amazon, waiting for a response. Really disappointed as it's a very expensive item.
