I have to say I'm pretty impressed with these smudge sticks, especially for the price point. I actually feel like I got a little more bang for my buck because they say 4 inches long, but mine are a little bit longer than that so bank error in my favorite, as they would say in Monopoly. They're easy to light, but you will need to blow them a bit off and on to keep them going. But but anyone that uses Sage on a regular nose, that's just part of the deal. Fits perfectly in my sage holder and I love the smell.

This is great sage. It's much better than the three-piece I bought from "worldincensestore" (one of the highest rated incense vendors on Etsy), where one of their sticks had the unpleasant after-smell of resin which unfortunately permeated throughout the entire home. (No offense to Etsy!) Anyway... This sage from JL Local, however, has a type of sweet after-smell when burned, and when dry, the stick kind of smells like marijuana; (no objections there:) More importantly, I physically feel the positive effect and inner calm from negative energy that has cleared out from the home after smudging with this sage, and that calm, peaceful feeling lasts quite a long time. Quality stuff, JL. My sincere thanks, really.

Ultimately, these are too expensive for me to keep buying them. I don't use them for incense--I don't like the smell of burning sage. Instead I pull them apart and soak them for different medicinal purposes, and the whole house smells wonderful while they are soaking... if you like the smell of sage. Bonus, but bugs DON'T like the smell of sage. However, the smell only lasts about 24 hours and then is gone. the medicine I used it for may or may not work, so ultimately the cost does outweigh the benefit. Four stars because it's a quality item that comes as advertised, but I can't afford them.
