The Ultimate Scholarship Book 2018: Billions of Dollars in Scholarships, Grants and Prizes

This book is helpful, in that it lists gobs and gobs of scholarships. But.... 1) many of the scholarships listed have not been active since 2016, so should not be included in a 2018 book (even though it was printed in 2017) 2) the science scholarship section should really be called STEM as it includes scholarships for engineering, computer technology, health care, etc. 3) the most annoying thing is the section on state scholarships is not organized by state! You have to go through 196 pages to cover the state scholarships, even though there may only be 7 scholarships for your state. Why not just categorize them by each individual state?

Uhhh... I went through this whole book and put every scholarship that applies to me into a spreadsheet. Do you know how long that takes?!? Comes to find out in the end that more than half of these scholarships (I’d say 85%) are expired in 2016!!!! Why is this book titled, “ The Ultimate scholarship book 2018” Save your money and your sanity. DON’T BUY THIS BOOK!!!!!

This book provided a lot of information about scholarships BUT most of them have expired by now. This book is marketed as 2018, but the applications for scholarships listed were due in 2017. I thought the scholarship applications in this book would be available to apply in 2018, not to be used in 2018. I get why it's named 2018, but think more clarity is required. I'm just not sure why Amazon is still selling this book and wondering when the 2019 version will become available.

does not really provide anything you cant easily find on the internet and no real insight on getting scholarships

This book has a TON of information about scholarships, BUT it's layout and organization make it difficult to navigate. For example, the book has "State of Residence" scholarships, but the scholarships are listed in alphabetical order BY SCHOLARSHIP, not by state. That is why I am returning the book. This was supposed to make scholarship/grant searching easier, not more frustrating.

Very helpful book; however, I would have paid extra just to have all of the content added into a spreadsheet (to help sort by dates due). Also discovered a few scholarships that were posted as being available, but are no longer being offered (not because of a missed due date).

very helpful, lots of information...but buy it early preferably in the freshman/sophomore year. Applications take time and want information on your volunteering, club associations, grades, letters of recommendations, essays. You need to start young to get involved in sports or 4H, scouts, dance, school clubs, art, church etc...and keep up grades, make friends with mentors/adults that will write meaningful letters for you and practice your writing skills. If you can, travel, go on missions with church, anything to get involved.

My problem with this book is when I purchased it most of the most of the deadlines for the SCHOLARSHIPS had expired. Soooo why is the book still full price???
