Watch out if heavier person
Great functionality and value for price. Gets about 4”higher than old seat post, and it’s a BIG difference. But feels a little shaky if we are moving quickly or in rough water. Great for trolling or idling around. And adjustments actually work pretty well. Height adjustment would probably be a “set it and forget it” if captain is always at the helm, so I don’t really care about that. Otherwise it takes a little working and wiggling to adjust height.Overall good and fit our needs.

Nice looking pedestal. No crazy mechanicals to go wrong..simple.Just wish it swiveled easier or smoother.Going to try some lubrication on the poly sleeve bearing otherwise I will tighten it up and add a seat swivel to each chair
