just what i wanted the meows were getting annoying so i took the batteries out

I have not changed the batteries since I've gotten it and the cats are still mewing consistently. Clock works like a charm. Kitties are easy to read on the clock and they all have their own distinct meow. The mews are quite loud and easy to hear from the next room, but only during daylight. The clock kitties won't mew when it's dark in the room. When I first got this, my cat was scared of the kitties trapped in the clock she had to investigate it and make sure they were okay. But I swear, after months of having this, the different mews at different times have taught her how to keep time. I tell her I'll be back from somewhere in an hour and if I'm not, she'll let me know!

This is a great clock and the meowing sounds are good and it keeps perfect time. The 12 different breeds on the face of the clock are really nice with the goldfish jumping out of the fishbowl. My ragdoll cat was spending every hour for a number of days trying to find the cat in the clock when the clock was meowing which was amusing.

It makes sounds every hour

This is a must have clock for cat lovers who have cats and enjoy hearing a different cat meow each hour. It needs daylight to make the sounds audible if its dark it will not .runs on 3 AA batteries .

Clocks works as advertised. Wish the sound had a volume control though. Even so, it funny to watch the cats in the house react to the sounds every hour... Update: Well, after 1 month it quit making cat meows on the hour. Just like the 2 Mark Feldstein Nautical Sounds clocks that were shipped to me, except this one at least worked for a while. The other ones made no sounds out of the box. I returned both easily with Amazon. Somebody at the factory needs to look into Quality Assurance. Long story short, at least I can look at the cute cats on the clock in the kitchen...

love the sound the clock makes. it sounds like a real cat. i would buy again

If you are a cat person, you will love this clock! My kitties couldn't figure where the cat was!! They ignore it now.

Nunca maulló por lo que decidí quedármelo sólo como reloj, pero al cabo de tres días ya no funcionaba. Por lo que decidí devolverlo. Una decepción.
