The Seco-Larm Enforcer Mini No-Cut Electric Door Strike (Fail-Secure) is used to convert a cylindrical lockset into an electronic access-controlled locking system. This "no-cut" model is specially designed to fit most metal or wooden doors with only minimal cutting required of the door frame beyond the hole for the strike. Review: The smallest strike I could find - I was looking for the smallest strike that would require the least amount of modification to my door frame. I'm pretty sure this is the one. Like many others, it does have issues releasing if there is any pressure on the latch, or if there is any torque on the mounting plate, but when it's installed *correctly* it gets the job done nicely, and more importantly, discreetly. I'll be picking up two more to finish the project I started.
Review: installed about 3 months ago and so far, they are solid. - I installed into door frames of an old house that's been converted into an office building. The jambs were pretty beaten up. It was not easy to get everything lined so the opening/closing of the door worked every time. One one door, I had to cut out a section of the jamb, insert new wood and cut out a new hole for the latch. However, I did finally manage to all three operational. These are expensive but I couldn't really find anything else on the market.

**Q: could i use this strike plate to replace my trine 014c strike plate ??**
A: We asked the manufacturer and they replied: "Yes that should work."

**Q: Is there a "fail safe" variant of this strike?**
A: Fail-safe and fail-secure are specific to the lock mechanism, NOT the access panel. Some strikes are convertible to either. This one is listed as "fail-secure" (locked with no power applied) only.

**Q: Can this be used with a standard home depot wood door?**
A: This lock is very compact. I used this lock in an ordinary residential door casing. It did not fit directly into the pre cut hole but with very little work the hole can be enlarged to accommodate this lock. I would recommend the lock not only for function but price as well.

**Q: What kind of controller can I use if I want Alexa to control it?**

I was looking for the smallest strike that would require the least amount of modification to my door frame. I'm pretty sure this is the one. Like many others, it does have issues releasing if there is any pressure on the latch, or if there is any torque on the mounting plate, but when it's installed *correctly* it gets the job done nicely, and more importantly, discreetly. I'll be picking up two more to finish the project I started.

Have installed ten of these. Good solid offering. As with many electric strike cylindrical locks, alignment when installing is important. MOST electric strikes will not open under preload condition. If there is a warped wooden or metal door or other condition that will put outward pressure against the strike latch, the lock may not open smoothly. You would have to press in on the door before the lock would open in extreme cases.
