I have a 30 mi electric fence around my farm that keeps all my animals where they should be. But sometimes it also keeps humans on their toes as they walk around to avoid touching the wire when getting in and out of pens.If you ever been shocked by an electric fence you'll know it's not that fun. After recent experience feeding my cow in which my back touched the wire and I entered an avatar state, I decided I needed something like this to take down a line and get in and out of the pen.These little handles work wonderfully to install a gate anywhere on the line.Highly recommended!

The handle grip on these things are nice and big, making it easy to grab and pull. The spring is nice and long, allowing it to be stretched 3+ inches. The end of the hook on them seems pretty long to me, so I may end up trimming some of it off to make it easier to latch them to the eye hooks on the post.I like these a little better than the rubber gate handles we normally buy from the local tractor store. The ones from the tractor store simply don't stretch far at all. If you can catch these on sale, the price of these are comparable to the price at the local tractor store.They do a good job and work as expected. Happy Farming!

These are some of the best ways to make pasture gates for horses on electric fences. Easy to install, and you can make the gates as wide as you need to with polytape/wire/rope and so simple. I have a few larger gates that are needing replacing, but I won't be getting the huge 16' gates to replace them. I'll use something much easier.
