good quality - would buy again
Great commuter bags. I use these on Ibera PakRak Bicycle Touring Carrier Plus+, Frame-Mounted bike rack. I've been using daily for a couple months on my 3 mile round trip commute to office. I carry gloves, laptop, few tools, jackets, office shoes, etc, back and forth to office. I've not used the rain covers which fit in a small pocket on the bottom of the bag, well out of the way. There's plenty of space in the main compartment, and the side pockets on each side are good for placing small items in - generally my phone, wallet, a small air pump, sunglasses, etc. They clip on the rack with pretty sturdy plastic hooks - super easy to plop the bag down on the rack. It's a bit more of a pain to get them off as you have to pry the hooks with your fingers, which can be difficult at first because you have to basically stick your fingers down between the bars on the rack to get a fingertip under the hooks. I think some improvement could be made in that regard by adding a lever that goes UP from the hook that would be more accessible. There is also a velcro strap on the back of the bag in the middle which can be attached to the stays of the bike rack - I never use these as I'm not hopping curbs or offroading or anything - and these straps are not easily accessible at all. After a couple month's use I notice a small 1" square on one of the bags beginning to show some wear from rubbing on the bike rack - this is on the bag that I always use, I use the 2nd bag only once or twice per week. I expect I could reduce some of the fabric wear by using the velcro strap, but I'd rather deal with fabric wear than strapping and unstrapping the velcro all the time. The removable shoulder straps (plastic swivel hook attaches to plastic eye, which I never remove) are attached in good locations on the bag and I'm never concerned with having too much weight in them, but the straps themselves are just plain nylon straps adjustable for length - no padding or frills or any kind. I keep the shoulder straps adjusted to shortest length so the straps don't hang down below the bag. I try not to use the top handle much since it's attached to the opening and I would be concerned about messing up the zipper and/or fabric over time - but I have no evidence that this would actually develop any problems. I'm happy with these - I expect they will last me more than a year and then I would be glad to purchase again or make necessary repairs and keep using.

very roomy bags
I got these for commuting to work, and they are definitely very roomy. I can fit a laptop, a change of clothes, and various accessories (charger, phone, wallet, etc.) in just one of the bags, so I don't even need to use both. It attaches pretty securely to my rack, which is a Bontrager rack on a Trek hybrid bike. I don't normally ride in the rain so I haven't used the extra cover. However, I did get caught in a light sprinkle once and the bag keep the contents dry. The build quality seems good, although I've only had them a couple of weeks so far. I haven't had any issues with my feet hitting the bag while pedaling despite the large size. The only downside is that the bag attaches so well that it's hard to take it off the rack again. I had planned to use the should strap so I could take it with me, but I have gotten into the habit of removing the contents of the bag and just leaving it on the bike. The clips are plastic and I'm afraid they could break apart with heavy use. Overall I'm happy with the bags and I would still recommend them.

You get what you pay for.
Pros: Side Pockets, Rain Cover, Straps for carryingCons: Terrible construction (1 zipper was missing, the top strap for holding the bag ripped while I was removing the bag from the rack, the material that composes the rear of the bag is flimsy and constantly got caught in my tire. There's not a real practical way to carry both the bags together. It's either hold one in your hand and strap the other on a shoulder or strap both of them across your body, which is not practical.Overall: I would not recommend buying this bag. I love my Banjo Brothers Market Bag and would recommend that over this. This bag has caused me nothing but headaches since purchase.

After an year of gentle usage: material quality is subpar, key issues might render them unusable
Just bougth the panniers and had a couple of commute rides with one of them.So far, the quality of the panniers looks good (I'm still curious what will be the tear and wear after, say, a season of ridding).Their load capacity is pretty decent too. I am easily fitting a 15" laptop, changing cloths, water and tools in just one of them.I attach them to my Ibera PakRak (IB-RA5) rack. The mount is very solid: My commute is mixed, 15 miles, predominantly roads, but several gravel segments as well. The pannier stays securely hung on the two hooks. The velcro leash in the lower part of the panniers cannot be strapped adequately to the PakRak frame, and I just do not use it. Still, the pannier does not swing or anything. So far the only negative comment I have is, that once hooked to the rack, the panniers are really cumbersome to unhook. There is a little plastic flap built into each hook, which prevents them from accidentally unhooking from the rack (see attached image). Yet, these flaps are a real hassle to get out of the way when you actually want to detach the pannier from the rack. As a result, detaching the pannier takes special attention and several attempts. I already managed to force the hooks out on several occasions, just to realize that I have flipped the plastic flaps inside-out while doing this. I'm afraid the flaps might not last too long if this keeps happening to them. I hope that will not compromise the security of the panniers eventually. In contrast, I had an Ibera Clip-On bag, which had a ultra handly handle to detach the hooks super easy. Unfortunately, this same handle broke after 1.5 year of use. So I haven't quite found a good solution to the hooking problem yet, I guess :-/Update: I'm removing two stars, from 4 to 2, because of quality issues with the product after a little over a year since purchased. Worth noting that in this one year, I've used them for a total of 10-12 times.Quality problem 1: the flaps I was complaining about in the original review continued to be a hassle, even after I learned how to operate them better. One of my flaps is now on the brink of breaking completely (see pictures), and that would render the pannier unmountable (as there will be nothing to secure it against the rack rods) and thus unusable :(Quality problem 2: Just discovered the zip tearing off at one corner (see pictures). I do tend to fill the pannier well up, but nothing extraordinary. This issue speaks of poor product quality by itself.I do not recommend buying these panniers.
