Baby Wordsworth---worth every penny
Bravo Baby Einstein... this video is a hit. Not only is it fun to watch, but it is educational too. We started teaching our son basic sign language from day #1. We have a great book, but it is much easier when you actually see someone demonstrating the sign. My 18 month old son loves to watch this video and is proud to shout out what he is seeing. I was surprised when I heard him shout, "Cup!" and I turned the corner to see cups on the TV. He has learned several new words from the video and even learned the sign for book. Even if a child doesn't use sign language to communicate on a daily basis, I believe they could benifit from learning the names of household items. This certainly is the best Baby Einstein video that we own. Our sons verbal skills are improving and I suspect that someday soon he will be signing right along with the words he is speaking.

Not my favorite but still great!
Baby Wordsworth is a wonderful addition to the Baby Einstein collection. We have been teaching our 2 year-old daughter a few signs so we thought this DVD would compliment that well and it has! And although it's not her favorite (Baby Neptune has always held that honor), she does love it. My only wish is that this had come out about 10 months ago. Her vocabulary is far beyond the content of this DVD but she is now pairing the signs with the words, so she has learned from it. Our little ones are such sponges! Watch this DVD with your child and do the signs together....you'll be amazed how quickly they pick it up!

Long-lasting favorite
The kids love this video, long after the point when I thought they would be too old for it. We started watching it together very early- as a baby- because we used sign language a lot before my son learned to speak. He loved it all the way up until we wore out the disk, when he was 4 years old. As a bonus- there is an "add-on" section so when the kids learn all the words in the first version, you can play the extended version and it is like a whole new movie but with some words they already know. The boys really felt the positive reinforcement and love the characters.

Beat step up
My 21 month old loves it! She asks me to put "cat" on daily. (There is a cat on the front cover) it's absolutely adorable and amazing to watch her sign with the video. We also have "my first signs" DVD, and that was great to watch when she was younger, but this DVD has more specific signs then the other video, so its great for kids who are ready to learn the details about every day things. Like rather then learning to sign "eat" it teaches you chair, plate, cup, bowl, etc. Whereas, my first signs just taught you "eat", which was fab when my not talking 11 month old needed to tell me she was hungry. But we were ready for the next step up, and this DVD is it!

Fantastic DVD For Toddlers
My 20 month old daughter has been watching this for a few months now and absolutely loves it. I really wasn't expecting her to get much out of this other than just spending time together. I had never purchased any other Baby Einstein DVDs before and was fairly skeptical about its benefits. I figured that the least it could do was provide me with another way to interact with her and talk about what was on the screen. Sure enough she picked up on the signs very quickly and now signs many of the words on the DVD. In turn, I think that's helped broaden her verbal vocabulary as well. It's really fun to watch her enjoy it and learn from it.

Good, but try B.E. First Signs first.
This is quite a bit more advanced than the Baby Einstein First Signs video, so we're glad we did First Signs first :-) I wish there were more babies signing or talking, it is mostly cartoons/puppets and occasionally one adult or an older school age child will sign. As usual the narrator says the words and you rarely if ever see kids talking. Some of the signs are multiple steps and may be too hard for kids under 3. Some of the words are long, like "telephone" (could have shortened to "phone") and "computer". Most of the words are fairly common and easy to say though like "bed" and "blanket". My 22m old enjoys this video and attempts all of the signs and words.

not as good
I found this very disappointing after my first purchase of baby wordsworth which my 13 month grand-daughter adored. The lack of choice of uk or us english made the language and words very us based and the format was quite boring

Not a big fan of the sign language, I ...
Not a big fan of the sign language, I thought this one was to help little ones pronounce words.
