Love it well bright enough and lasts a long time

Bought for sailing where I sometimes need a bright hands free torch, and at other times a red light for chart work that doesn't affect my night vision. The light levels are well chosen - a usefully bright beam for seeing at a distance, e.g. cycling or mooring a boat, a good lower white level for close work, and the red is perfect for close work. The band is ok and holds the torch on my head. It works over a beanie but is a little less secure. The battery holds its charge well so would be good for emergency or standby use - I left it for over six months and it had plenty of charge left.

Great quality, my son needed it for his scout hikes and it’s worked perfectly, also comfortable to wear.

Got for a present for my father , he loves it , he uses it out walking his dog in the evenings , great light easy charge and lasts for ages . Lightweight, easy to use Great value for the price I paid and peace of mind when he is out walking in the dark evenings

Not so sure about the purported 680 lumens. I tested this against my 350 lumen Nitecore, and I'll be sticking with that when out hiking as it seems to throw more light out than these Everbeam units do. The Everbeam units have a very narrow beam, almost like a spot light, and so it only illuminates a small portion of the way ahead, whereas my Nitecore has a more spread beam, making it more useful for seeing more of the ground of where you are walking. The "spot light", didn't seem any brighter than the light coming out of the Nitecore unit either - when I had both on full power pointing in the same direction, the Nitecore appeared to be just as bright, only over a wider area. You can't fault the price though, even more so considering they come with not only a rechargeable battery, but also a nice and compact case. They are certainly a useful headlamp to have around the house and in the car.

Super bright (much more so than cheaper lights that I have). The battery compartment is a clever design, which can accommodate the (supplied) rechargeable battery or three alkaline AAA cells. This is a brilliant combination (no pun intended). When the light is being used frequently, rechargeable is the way to go... but it is useless if the light has not been used for a while because all rechargeable batteries slowly self-discharge when not used - so they will probably be flat when you come to use them after a long hiatus. Alkaline AAA cells have a very long shelf life, so can be there when you need them. There is room in the carrying case to tuck some AAA cells as a back-up for the rechargeable battery. The motion detect feature takes a bit of getting used to and, to be honest, I have not used it a great deal. However, I can see how it could be very useful in certain circumstances. It could make the batteries last a lot longer because it makes it easy to turn off when not actually needed.

Excellent headlamp used a lot very bright and super bright on high setting. Keeps charge well. Non rechargeable batteries can be used with this item.

This head lantern (electric torch) is MUCH brighter and lighter than the one I purchased at Home Depot for $35 several year ago, which didn't even come with a case or rechargeable battery. This lantern's lower output setting is as bright as the $35 lantern's high setting. I purchased this lantern because it can also be powered by AAA batteries if necessary, which is critical for emergency use, such as when I was without power for 4 days during a major storm this last winter. The lantern is comfortable and fits securely on my head without a third, over-the-head, strap. The high quality case that comes with the lantern is semi-rigid yet washable -- a really nice addition to the lantern. The red lamps on the lantern are not nearly as bright as the main white lamp yet they are still plenty bright enough for checking a map or going through a bag in the dark if you need to preserve your night vision (e.g. hiking or boating at night). The lantern even has a series of green LEDs on the bottom side that tell you how much charge is on the integrated battery when you plug it in, which is a REALLY useful feature. Just remember, if you don't use the lantern regularly, you will likely need to check the battery every 4-6 months to ensure that the lantern remains charged and ready for use. I cannot yet attest to the runtime or endurance of the rechargeable battery.

This light is exactly what I was looking for with its features of bright white and red modes. Rechargable batteries and can also use # AA batteries. The on off sensor work very well.
