Review: Excellent standby battery life and good illumination levels - Bought for sailing where I sometimes need a bright hands free torch, and at other times a red light for chart work that doesn't affect my night vision. The light levels are well chosen - a usefully bright beam for seeing at a distance, e.g. cycling or mooring a boat, a good lower white level for close work, and the red is perfect for close work. The band is ok and holds the torch on my head. It works over a beanie but is a little less secure. The battery holds its charge well so would be good for emergency or standby use - I left it for over six months and it had plenty of charge left.

Bought for sailing where I sometimes need a bright hands free torch, and at other times a red light for chart work that doesn't affect my night vision. The light levels are well chosen - a usefully bright beam for seeing at a distance, e.g. cycling or mooring a boat, a good lower white level for close work, and the red is perfect for close work. The band is ok and holds the torch on my head. It works over a beanie but is a little less secure. The battery holds its charge well so would be good for emergency or standby use - I left it for over six months and it had plenty of charge left.
