I used for a vacation where we would be gone for 6 days with dry and extreme heat predicted in IL. Was nervous because reviews had said they didnt hold water well or wouldnt fit well onto the bottles. I used aquafina bottles and pepsi bottles. I found that you just need to push as you twist on and they go on well. They do feel a little flimsy like they wont last that long but theu did amazing on this trip. I used 4 in a long window box and 1 each in potted plants and even one each in the coco fiber type plants i have (which dry out fast) and all the plants survived! They looked a little wilty but after that long in extreme heat they look amazing! Saves me the neighbor ask and reply upon or the pay a teenager to water thing when we are away. I put them all in a box to reuse for next trip! Highly recommend for this use. Pic is after i pulled them all after and rinsed off the tips to store

Poor quality the bottle adapters aren't threaded and leak. I filled them last night and they all leaked out within an hour or two. These will not maintain your plants as they claim for a week or so. it just floods the plant which is not good for root system.

First, this fits only on standard water bottles, not one liter or 2 liter bottles. That is quite limiting. Second, the directions say to poke a small hole in the bottle. I understand why, but that's a problem. Naturally, one would poke the hole at the base of the bottle. But then how to FILL the bottle? Even a very small hole lets water leak out when filling the bottle. Put the spike on and carry the bottle to the plant and water gets everywhere from the hole. I'd hoped this would be sufficiently porous to allow water to escape the bottle through the clay spike into the soil by capillary action, without the need for a hole in the bottle. The manufacturer doesn't think that's the case.

These are poorly made. The water comes out so fast and leaks around the edges.

Tried single water bottles, coke bottles, sprite zero sugar bottles. ALL LEAKED and water came out within 12 hours. Threw them away and got another product

The spikes arrived quickly and were packaged well. They can fit 16 oz, 20 oz, 1 liter, 2 liter and 1 gallon bottles. The larger bottles need the support of a branch, wire cage or rim of the pot. The sports drink bottles are best because of the thick plastic and they do not need an adaptor. The plant food was slowly dispensed over 1-4 days. I will be ordering more for my Dad's garden and mine.

I followed the directions, did not work. Flooded my plants and almost killed them. I tried it with a different plastic water bottle on another plant. Don't I feel like an idiot, plant was waterlogged.

I tried a variety of bottles (soda, milk, water), with and without the adapter provided, and every time, the screwing part leaks from the side. I found better one at the Dollarstore.

Not fit for purpose. I have bought the 100% terra cotta version before and they are great. I thought these ones would be good for smaller pots but they don't work at all. I've tried them with various different bottles, & they seem to empty the contents within 24 hours. Just did a test, filtering into another bottle and the water ended up all over the counter top, meaning that it's leaking out via the green plastic attachment at the top.

Please do listen to the reviews. Cheap, doesn't connect to bottles securely, leaks from both sections. It would be great with better plastic as the terracotta works well. I've now superglued some parts together to improve slightly to use but it was that or throw away. Next try maybe tape as someone else has said
