Rust Stopper, 13 oz

I have an old compact tractor that lives in an open barn, and moisture always creeps in to attack metal surfaces 😤. Several bolts and brackets already had light surface rust that kept spreading. I picked up this STA-BIL Rust Stopper 13 oz to try it out. I cleaned off loose rust first then sprayed an even coat. It halted the existing rust from advancing right away and creates a tough barrier against humidity. I also used it on my hand tools hanging on the workshop wall. After two wet spring months, no new rust formed at all. The spray nozzle is easy to control with little overspray. It doesn’t leave a sticky greasy mess like some other rust inhibitors. This product works exactly as advertised. I feel relieved knowing my metal equipment is protected. Will keep a can on hand all the time

Glad I grabbed this for the lawn tractor at our small shop; rainy seasons had left a little rust on the exposed metal. It slowed the rust and the area looks better, though I wish it dried a little less tacky so dust wouldn’t stick as much.

Because I tinker with old garden tools in retirement, my son bought me this rust stopper. I used it on a rusty hand rake that belonged to my father. I just sprayed, wiped the extra, and the metal looked steadier and smoother. Being able to keep his tools going made me glad.

Works to stop/prevent rust

A little pricy but worth it. I put this on my garage door springs and they are now moving freely and less noisy.

It's a rather thick lubricant that goes on heavy, application was easy once I got a feel for the contour of the spray button. It's a high quality lubricant but it is long drying and I found myself wiping a good portion off of the tools I wanted to protect making it not a great value in my opinion. While I am not trying to undermine this lubricant it just wasn't exactly what I was looking for but it does work as described.
