Simple and helps for a smooth sound
I was looking for a simple mallet to reduce the scraping sound coming from suave mallet. This works well and has a universal look for my space. So far the sound is cleaner and I am going to enjoy practicing for my sound baths with reiki.

Lovely Mallet
I love this little mallet. its so deceptive in that it looks like glass and feels like it would rattle on my singing bowls but its perfect! it has just a bit of grip on the crystal or metal so it does not rattle. i can get a wicked strong frequency coming off my F crystal bowl so that Heart Chakra song resonates all thru the mountains!

A bit harsh
I think it needs a softer rubber around the crystal. It's kinda like a hard plastic almost. So if you aren't extremely careful, it'll make a horrid vibration sound on your singing bowl. You must hold it firmly and apply a firmer pressure on your bowls.

Too hard
I’ve use many different wands for sound baths on crystal and Tibetan bowls, and was hoping this one would give enough resistance for getting bowls to sing quickly as an alternative to my suede and leather wand. It didn’t perform as expected, it was not as rubbery as needed, but harder almost like glass, and so makes a more scratchy sound, a little harder than a plain wooden one would.

Poor Workmanship- Buy Elsewhere
The plastic rod ends are not cut square, rough, and look like they were cut off by hand with a hacksaw. The end you hold is rough and unfinished. I purchased one from another company for only $1 more and the ends are polished and chamfered. Buy from someone else.

Probably better for UNFROSTED bowls.
I thought that I would prefer these over a standard mallet but, unfortunately they're not really suited for my application. My goal was to eliminate the scratchy sound of the frosted bowls as much as possible. These seem to enhance it quite a bit. The action is VERY fast though. As soon as they're brought to the bowl, we're making sound. They're just creating too much scratchy sounds for my liking. I feel like they would be PERFECT for unfrosted bowls though, there is just something about them that feels so good in the hand. Maybe after some more use I will get more proficient with them, but as it stands right now I just don't feel like they are suited for frosted bowls.

Sound is lovely
This makes a lovely sound on my bowls, without the sound of striking the bowl first.

Not for beginners!
This official "Topfund" singing bowl mallet to my knowledge is only conpatable with quarts... when used correctly it allows u to get a cleaner more precise tone from your bowl. If u play singing bowls this is a must have .
