They absorb and hold water well, and are soft and substantial. Perfect thickness for most cleaning jobs. So far they have lasted well being substantially durable.

These sponges arrived vacuum packed but as soon as you took the plastic off and dipped a bit in water, it became large just as I wanted very good value for money for a pack of five
