Pros:Even though it may not look exactly like the old pump, it is an exact-fit replacement. The pump-out flow rate is at least equal to the original, and its sound level is about the same. It is not necessary to disassemble and realign the pump sections to make the hose connections point in the right directions. However, BE SURE to check that it is the right part for your model number. Part illustrations alone are often not enough to go by.This pump is well worth the price I paid. Even if it just lasts five years, it will have been worth the time and expense.Cons:The instructions provided are pretty skimpy. For instance, the mounting base does not come attached to the pump. A screw is provided for that purpose, but there are 2 mounting holes. One pump body screw has to be removed and used as the second screw. For people who are not used to doing mechanical repairs, figuring this out could be a minor challenge. Also, there should be printed warnings about overtightening the screws, since they are threading into plastic.After the mounting bar is attached, one of the screws that holds the pump to the washer base is inacessible with a nutdriver or screwdriver. That's not a big deal, since you can slide the rubber mount out of the bar, mount it to the washer base, slide the mounting bar into the mount, and then install the screw on the other end. Instructions like these should be included with the pump, and might save time and frustration for someone not used to making repairs of this kind.

This pump performs perfectly. The design has a lot of versatility for installation. I used the mounting bracket from the pump that was replaced. Easy to install with the appropriate skills, great value for the money when compared to local appliance repair parts stores.The picture in this review is after the installation of the new pump.

Pump arrived broken.Packaged in a cardboard box with no padding or protection of any kind. Looks like it was dropped at some point. Pump housing was shattered.I was going to reuse the housing from the old pump, but the impeller was also broken. Pump is completely unusable.-----Update: I returned the damaged pump to Amazon (painless), and ordered another. It arrived next day. Same poor packaging, but the pump was undamaged this time. I had to reorient the pump outlet to match my machine, but that was easy. The pump is designed for it:- Remove three housing screws- Remove the housing, rotate 180 degrees, and replace.- Replace the three housing screws- Flip the outlet flapper valve over so gravity will help it work in the new orientation.The supplied mounting bracket was the wrong size for my machine, but I was able to reuse my original mounting bracket.The new pump installed easily (as easily as can be expected, lying on the floor wrestling with spring hose clamps through a tiny opening) and works well.I'd give it 5 stars for being a solid pump, but deducting one for the crappy packaging and all the grief that caused me.
