They are not defective! People who are saying the light is defective and upside down don't realize you have to reverse the shade from how it is packaged. If you put the shade on the sconce part correctly it will look exactly like pictured. They obviously package it upside down to save space. That aside, installation was easy and looks great. A beautiful modern but classic fixture.

Every time I go to my room it feels like going into a hotel. Very elegant, color doesn’t look cheap at all. Have a good luminosity. Totally worth it

Just turn the shade upside down compared to how it’s shipped

This is a lovely bedside fixture light replaced a prior light fixture from the 80s that no longer worked. (see 3rd and 4th photos) The look of the Boho Sconce Light is really modern and the light comes higher so that it gives off more light than my previous ones that dangled with lights below. (see 5th & 6th photos) The new fixture on the right side of the bed has not been installed yet, I purchased 2 Boho Wall Sconce Bedside Fixture Lights. I am extremely happy with my choice and am completely satisfied with the purchase. The color of the linen shade is exactly as shown in the photos and looks great installed. I could not be more pleased. The gold brass color is very nice and blends nicely with the shade. I highly recommend.
