I have been working as an Orthoptist for 15 years and during this time I have witnessed the frustrations parents have with their children not wanting to wear an eye patch to treat their Amblyopia. I have noted that children who already wear glasses are more receptive to wearing a decorated cloth eye patch. Children love to pick and choose their own eye patch and take part in their own treatment. The Amblyo-patch designs offer kids more colorful eye patches to choose from increasing the chances of patching- this means a better chance for visual recovery of the Amblyopic eye! Our 5 year old Granddaughter had been told to wear an eye patch for 2 hours a day to strengthen the weaker eye. She just was not happy at all wearing the Eye Patches that stick and we all felt so bad for her that it made daily life difficult. After searching for an alternative, I came across this item. Since we put this patch on a second pair of glasses, they are always ready to be put on and now, she willingly wears her "eye patch glasses" for the time required. This is a great little item and covers the whole eye area. I highly recommend this item.

I bought it for my neese and she hated covering her eye but i guess this one was little more comfortable and the color pink was a big help too so even though she doesnt like to wear it bec she cant see well that eye patch was the only thing she would agree to wear without a fight..very simple done but works great
