Review: Good little unit. - I liked that this filter was adjustable - The part that goes into the water that suctions the water up can either be shorter or taller. For our 10 gallon tank, we used the shorter one. The filter power is adjustable as well. We just have a beta in there so we keep it on low, seems too powerful in the higher settings. I'd say for being on the cheaper side, it was a good value for our money. Its as quiet as a filter can be i guess lol

**Q: Does this come with any filters?**
A: One filter prefilled with carbon.

**Q: On the 10 gallon version, how far does the intake extend into the aquarium?**
A: Its adjustable, but my normal size and shape 10gal tank requires me to use this without the telescoping tube, and leaves the intake in a perfect place without it! The body itself goes 4in+ into the water so with that extra 6in adjustable tube (that gets almost 12in when extended) it didn't fit in my tank with the 4+in intake section connected

**Q: Can this be used for an Axolotl?**
A: Yes. I use that for my axolotl fir about 2 months. No problem. Very good.

**Q: Will this model of the Tetra is 45 handle a 55 gallon ok?**
A: The 45 model would not be enough for a 55 gallon tank on its own. Two of them would work, one at each end.

Very quiet and works really well. I use the foam inserts and rings instead of insert that comes with it but I have used it in the past and it works really well.
