I didn’t see any reviews with smaller dogs using the pet plank so I was worried it may not work for our little guy (18 pounds) but it did! It took him a few try’s to understand how it worked but once he did he loved it and it made getting him out of the water so much easier. It’s sturdy and easy to set up, my only issue was inflating it, it was hard to figure out and air escapes when you pull out the pump. Otherwise love it.

I haven't used it on the water yet, but did blow it up and looking forward for the dogs to try it out.Thick and sturdy material. Great size.I'm sure we will enjoy using it.Will update after first use.

We spend every summer on a sailing yacht with our Jack Russell Terrier. The dog loves the water and there is always a risk he might fall/jump of the boat when we are not paying attention. Before we had this product he struggled at the swim ladder and we had to lift him out of the water. Now the minute we are at anchor we install his « Diving Board » and he can go in and out on his own, no stress. This product is very sturdy and will resist many years of usage and claws without any issues. Once inflated it is very stiff and stable. Our JRT jumps on it and then into the water and the platform stays stable. It is equally stable on his way out of the water. We took the small model and our dog weighs 17 lbs. Smaller and slightly bigger dog would do well with the small version. Our dog learned to use it in just a few days.Love this product and would definitely buy it again.

Our trainer sent me a picture he had found of one of these and sent it to me. I immediately purchased it. Within five minutes of putting it in the water she was using it!!We will find a better place to put it for the smaller dogs when they come with us but as you can see in the video, it’s perfect for her to use to get back into our houseboat.We can also use this when we take our runabout out and she can get back up on the swim platform abd into the boat.We’ve been looking at different ramps for the boat as she can use the lily pad to get out of the water then jump onto the paddleboard then back onto the boat. But this is a one stop shop!!We have the electric pump as we also have one of their larger mats and it inflated super easy and super fast.Great product and affordable as well!! We have been using this almost daily with our 2 labs. It took 2 tries for them to figure out the new way onto the boat. Easy to tie on and strong enough for both our dogs to lay on it at the same time. The material is really strong - no rips, or tears from their nails and it's been a month in use. the mesh part the step on under the water is weighted so the dogs feel secure on it. I would highly recommend this!
